I’m American but really love this show because I can basically replace all the British names for potential Plank of the Week with American equivalents and then laugh about them. Your panel always do a great job of being succinctly analytical while being very funny which makes it all more impactful and attractive to a wider viewership.
I suspect that only someone with the same proclivities would cover up for someone like Smyth, unless they are unbelievably naive, blinkered and stupid. Welby could fit into either category, but it will be interesting to see if more victims come forward to tell their stories.

I'm an 83 years old Brit who spent 50 years working as an engineer in development in third world countries. I married lovely Cambodian lady who had suffered under Pol Pot in the 1970s. We met in Cambodia in 1998 and were married in 2002. I retired in 2018 and returned to the UK with my wife. We have just completed the process of obtaining UK Citizenship for my wife. It cost us £15,000 in fees. Throughout the 5 year process my wife was working in a care home and pay tax, with no benefits or access to the NHS, I paid for her health care. I do not mind any of this but do get annoyed when my wife is accused along with illegal immigrants of taking advantage of the British taxpayer.
When 2029 comes around will right-thinking members of society please band together and make sure that we not only kick out this shocking Labour lot but that we make sure that Labour is unelectable for six or seven generations to come. That's about 500 years.
I like what the young lady said about how expensive it is to travel in Britain on public transport,,,,,,,,,Well myself and my wife and daughter are travelling from MELBOURNE in VICTORIA to ALBURY in NEW SOUTH WALES a distance of 360 kilometres then returning several days later and the cost for the three of us is $31.00 about 15 quid there are other train journeys that cost more but usually tourist adventures so we cannot complain can we. Something really wrong with BRITAIN
