I mean if he wants to dictate his workload by not running the ball as a running back in the NFL good riddance. Like thats what you get paid to do and to complain in such a public manner is of poor taste.

Huge huge Ekeler fan, but the reason was money. The Chargers signed two more backs, and are paying their entire rb room combined less money than Ekeler signed for with Washington. A committee approach is obvious; there is no expectation of a 300-carry back in the Greg Roman offense next year.

Yo Austin. I have watched you in person at Levi stadium every game of your Chargers career. The most memorable performance of you is your 2017 preseason game vs the Niners. You gave me hope as a Chargers fan. You wore #3 and played strong, hard, and raw. Amazing career you have made for yourself. Keep promoting yourself CEO Eck.

As a lifelong Washington fan,AE is very welcomed. I do thing that the Chargers didn't want him after a subpar last season. But the two previous seasons, he was a stud. He seems happy now so looking forward to a combo tandem of BR jr and AE in Washington. Hail to the Commanders!!!

There's a great story about Ekeler and Lynn in Austin's rookie season. Early in training camp Austin came in to Coach Lynn's office and asked him what he needed to do to make the team. Lynn replied, "First, who are you?" Now everybody knows.

He is a small back that played behind a poor OL last year and on two sprained ankles.
With the right team he can do well as his previous seasons were with the chargers.
If the charger were better at adding depth he probably would have dropped to the RB 2 position a year or two ago, but that's why the charges have a new GM.

Yah…..pretty juvenile evaluation…he shouldn’t have ever been a full time 3 down back…telescos inability to ever bring in a bigger back to balance the running game created the Austin Eckler one man backfield…Ronny Harmon….Sproles…Eckler…all good backs…none were bell cow every down 3 down backs…he’s not here because he got more money than our top 4 backs got combined.
