This is my Bulldogs favorite toy. He figured out how it works right away and now he plays until he collapses. Rests a while and starts in again. Your dogs little dance waiting on the launch is adorable.
Oh my god, her little dance before the ball launches is adorable. I also think the big green bucket part was a bit too tall for a little thing like her. If she was a bigger dog who could easily reach over into the big bucket, she probably would have done that.
That's great! I think the bin.is for loading multiple balls and is too high for her to drop in. This reload works fine! I'd add a big bowl of (iced) water nearby and monitor her vitals lest she get too carried away.
Love that dog. 💜 I had one that would fetch 24/7 if he could. He liked it so much that he would even go up to statues we have in our park and drop the ball it their feet wanting them to throw it... He would get so sad because they wouldn't even acknowledge he was even there. Lol.
It's really cool seeing a pavlovian response almost in real time. This is how animals and we build superstitions. She gives the launcher a tap because she associates it with the ball flying for no other reason than she happened to do it before it flew :p This is where lucky socks comes from ladies and gentlemen!
On Mocha's birthday you should set up about five of these with about 20 tennis balls set up to dump in all of them at the same time so she gets like a couple minutes straight of just tennis balls flying from all directions 🤣🤣🤣❤️❤️❤️
I always played Fetch with 3 balls with GSP pound puppy. Sadly he passed last year. He would drop one as I was tossing the next. He was crazy fast and super smart.
It really put a smile on my face, My husky would tear the machine up and then tear up the balls then drag the garbage into my house, drag it up to my office and would try and play tug of war with me with the junk while im working.....
I think you should tune the fetch robot (maybe with a ramp of some sort so it throws it higher) so it avoids hitting them once it throws the ball, but great purcharse either way! Any plans to buy a trampoline for the new house? Really hoping for more trampskating!
Okay you got me good.... without the first end slate I thought after all these years you wouldn't have an end clip, and I was fortunately wrong haha - hope ur cranium recovers
still waiting for part 2.. "Moka Conquers the Bucket" however I would recommend maybe cutting the bucket size in half due to moka being a small dog, it might be she doesn't like the bucket as it's to tall and prefers to place in the launcher itself
Was there a training video in the box? Seems to me the manufacturer should have recommended pre-training steps to teach the incremental "drop" commands before letting dog get so excited about chasing the ball.
Outstanding video! My boy is an American Black Labrador Retriever. Slim, powerful, hyper, crazy about Frisbee (my favorite also). He'd probably like this. Wondering about a Frisbee launcher. Fair winds and following seas to all.
I just purchased the same model. It's my third machine of this type. The first two (different brand/models) wore out and gave up the ghost pretty quick. The longest lived one was 11 days, so I'm hopeful this one lasts longer. My GSD loves it so far, except he just won't drop the ball in the hopper. (Edit: Moose also stands with his face directly in front of the launcher and occasionally takes a tennis ball to the snout at point blank range.)
Beware - it's all fun and games now but "Mocha" is beyond ball motivated and into the ball fixated/obsessed mode. I've had a couple of dogs I purposely selected (from litters), raised and specifically trained to be ball motivated and NOT food motivated. You can actually select a likely ball motivated dog prospect from a litter using certain functional tests with a crumpled-up piece of paper. The two I ran the ball motivated programs on were Dobermans - they were both also frisbee motivated. Two serious issues emerged with both of them, and this makes me reluctant to repeat this training method. The first was over-aggression - they would viciously attack other dogs making a move for any ball or toy. This was somewhat evident when they were puppies and adolescents, but it became excessive. It got to the point where balls had to be eliminated from the area whenever they were with other dogs - even dogs that were not also ball obsessed. The second problem, which ended up being fatal in one case, was eating the balls. It got to the point where I only allowed Kong toys around them - but even those were not totally safe from their huge gnawing jaws. One of them somehow got a hold of a stray tennis ball while alone. Long story short, when I got home, he was dead. With the smaller dogs here, my issues are probably easier managed and avoided - but it's something to be aware of. Tennis balls can be dangerous if ingested... even when they rip them to shreds before eating. I looked at ball motivation as my preferred approach to training, versus food motivation - that was my "motivation" in pursuing this. What I learned is that it's probably better not to objectify motivation that way - certainly not using food and probably not using objects, like balls or frisbees, that dogs can become overly possessive and territorial about. Before and since my two "ball boys" it seems click motivation is a better approach to training. Watching this, I think it also depends on the dog and the breed and the size, and maybe even the gender, in addition to temperament. It may be fine with these dogs in the video - and it sure looks like they - and the people - are having a blast without any apparent aggression; so, this is not some kind of admonition.
She reminds me of my border collie zoomzoom, the way she can't wait for the ball and she tap dancing waiting for it to release the ball like hurry up omg hurry up please
Dont forget that you still have to know how to limit the game with your dog, and remember that they could arme themselves in continually try to get that ball. They are so focused on the game and fun with us, that they forget to rest themselves. I have seen dogs practically killing themselves trying to fetch again an again, and not have anybody to stop the game for the well-being of the dog. They really go crazy trying to get that ball again and again.
Awesome toy for an awesome dog! I think, however, that a better design would have been a bucket low to the ground for putting the ball in and the ball shooting out from the top. That way it won't shoot the ball into the dog's face when it doesn't get it yet completely.
Some people might think I'm cruel, but I would have just let my dog get a boop on the snoot. That would be the quickest and most effective way to teach her to stay back.
Quick reminder: Don't use normal tennis balls for playing with dogs. They have a metal mesh inside them and those have an abrasive effect on the teeth. There are sometimes special tennis balls on sale which don't have that mesh.
This is just entirely false. There is no metal mesh and the materials and even the permanent dyes in the felt are all non-toxic. My dogs destroy balls and once they manage to get them apart to bits, I replace them just so they aren't swallowing latex (even though it's natural plant derived latex). Please don't spread false information. th-cam.com/video/ovalwd7VZLU/w-d-xo.html

It was so cute when she was waiting for the ball to come out of the thing she looks like she was a walking penguin because she was waddling❤️
I would love to know how this holds up over time, what an adorable dog you have her anticipation dance is hilarious haha

That dog is sooooooo happy!!!
Outsourcing play with your dog sounds dystopian.
better design would be feed into the side and ejects from the top. the ejection outlet should be guarded with a ' chimney ' like large and tall tube.
That was fun guys, my doggies would love this.
Perfect gift
so fun to watch
This is so cute!
I wonder if itnwoupd work for my 2 boxers and my 1 lab. Only problem is the oldest boxer likes to run a round with the ball.

Amazing like always! :)

I LOVE Sam tabor because he always makes me laugh
Put it on your deck with the eject pointing through the pickets leaving the back open to dropping in the ball.
