I am an old school metal man as you. Welcome to the world of Lovebites the world of beautiful ballads, heavy, power, speed, thrash metal. I discovered this band a year and a half ago and after listening to their entire dicography and watching almost all of their videos and concerts I can say that this band is a miracle. I think we are both from the same generation, those born between 1965 and 1975 to take a broad range. When I was 14/15 years old in the 80's I was listening to the iconic bands of the hard rock/heavy metal scene. Lovebites plays different musical influences from the 80/90's but with a better talent and musical beauty. That's where the miracle comes from. They give back their letters of nobility in a musical sphere that has degraded musically in death, core metal and other styles that are technically poor both vocally and instrumentally. On top of that you have a band that incorporates influences from classical music into their compositions. Because in this band the brunette guitarist "Miyako" is simply a world class pianist in addition to being a world class guitarist. I can already say "welcome to the wolfpack" because I am sure you will be a member as you discover it. You can take any audio or video track there is no bad track in their 50 tracks discography.
This band has no peer. I don't think the music industry wants people to know about this level of musicianship. People will start to ask for real music again. This band is no fake, they are the real deal. The write their own stuff, for real! I have listened to them every day since 2017. The music does not get old, it has the quality of staying power. As the saying goes, You ain't seen nothin' yet!🤘🤘
The American music industry has a vested interest in keeping things flat and predictable. But the artists are not blame-free. The Grunge bands pushed the idea that instrumental virtuosity was pretentious and unnecessary, and that was the beginning of the end for real rock. I'm not a hip-hop fan but it is also notable that the music industry tried to kill that too, and only when the artists formed their own labels were they able to get their stuff out there. IMO the American music industry executives along with the music press like Rolling Stone should be frog-marched to an abandoned quarry somewhere and left to listen to Barry Manilow and Taylor Swift on endless loop, forever.
@@hiawatha.g I think as far as metal goes, Power Metal is not a thing in the states. If the metal here doesn't have the word core attached to it with growling vocals it's just not as accepted, if at all. Europe is where it's at, especially with different metal genre's, people are far more openminded. That's where Lovebites is going to attract the attention they deserve.
The "big giant vocal hold-out" is tastefully employed in many songs, but on their 2021 performance of "Holy War" vocalist Asami holds those notes fully twice as long (!) and does so AFTER performing for an hour & 35 minutes! She literally defies physics being only 4'10" & quite slender. Blond Midori is fantastic in every way, not learning guitar until age 20 (!) with each guitarist composing their own solos, but guitarist/pianist Miyako will dazzle you with her music compositions, guitar solos AND virtuoso piano performances, her 'first instrument' (age 3), being self-taught on guitar beginning age 18, with guitar instruction book, "Mechanical training phrases from Hell" !
Asami: Vocals, piano, The One and Only Voice Miho: Bass guitar, backing vocals, The Natural Born Headbanger (Left the band in 2021) Haruna: Drums, The Little Big Engine Midori: Guitars, backing vocals, The Crazy Shredder Miyako: Guitars, keyboards, piano, backing vocals, The Golden Touch
Wolfpack is here for LOVEBITES! You have seen... and you have heard... and now you know. If you are smart, you will search everything you can find on this band, and absorb it. You are the exact right age and background to understand and appreciate what Lovebites is doing. You have literally just found your new favorite band. Their music is in the style of classic Maiden, Priest, Helloween, Metallica, Slayer, and many others. ( The bands you grew up listening to. ) The amazing thing is: what are 5 hot young Japanese girls doing playing THIS style of music?!?!? And HOW are they THIS GOOD at it?!?!? It literally makes no sense. BUT WE LOVE IT!!! Once you dig into their backgrounds, it will all make sense to you. Go check out more of their songs/videos. The more you see.... the more you will realize this band is literally the future of heavy metal. I'm an old school metal head too. My favorite band for 25 years has been Symphony X. When I found Lovebites.... it was GAME OVER. I see the future, right here. Learn their names: ASAMI vocals, MIDORI guitar, MIYAKO guitar/piano, MIHO bass, HARUNA drums.
Their band name LOVEBITES comes from the song "LOVEBITES (SO DO I)" by the American hard rock band "Hailstorm". This was the song R&B/Jazz singer Asami sang when she auditioned for a newly formed metal band. When Miho and others heard the name of the song, they liked it, and the vocalist and band name of the new band were decided. Asami appeared on the stage of Hailstorm, who was performing at the "Download Festival" held in Japan in March 2019, and sang "LOVEBITES (SO DO I)" together. And LOVEBITES appeared as a support act on their tour to Japan in December.
Welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed most of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics. They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. This is one of their usual first songs for reactors, and rightly so--you get a good sense of the band. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like a demon). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Here are more clips you should check out: Their most recently posted live clips, “Set the World on Fire” th-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/w-d-xo.html and “Don’t Bite the Dust” th-cam.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/w-d-xo.html, which are both from their recently released concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”. "Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: th-cam.com/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/w-d-xo.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope. Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: th-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/w-d-xo.html. Miyako is also a professional-level concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. If you want to see what she can do on the piano, watch “Swan Song” WITH the prelude, which is Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude” (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor). Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. This link should work: th-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/w-d-xo.html. For a thrasher with heavy Slayer and Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” th-cam.com/video/G021aP2ao6Y/w-d-xo.html includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M. For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” th-cam.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/w-d-xo.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both) Finally, while you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular: "Shadowmaker" th-cam.com/video/Brmoln5Gxus/w-d-xo.html This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world "When Destinies Align" th-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/w-d-xo.html "Glory to the World" th-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/w-d-xo.html "Winds of Transylvania" th-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/w-d-xo.html. You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!
LOVEBITES - Holy War lyrics: Look at those black clouds, it’s going to rain blood People live in fear, covered in mud Singing oh Gloria to change the prophecy We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for sisters There is a thousand, a thousand of evils Hush, do not wake up Satan’s devils Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for brothers Shining blade and burning heart Into the Gates of Hell we march Immortal soul, let there be light Into the Eye of Heaven Eagles at a holy war Fly higher than the sun We are one for all and all for one forevermore Kingdom of Heaven, never shall we fall Reincarnation, wait for your call Singing oh, Gloria to change the prophecy We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for sisters Morning star and dying moon Into the Gates of Hell we march Mighty soul, let there be hope Into the Eye of Heaven Eagles at a holy war Fly higher than the sun Stand up in the name of the God of heavy metal What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight? But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for Only have one thing on our mind Facing the fate, holy war Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for brothers Shining blade and burning heart Into the Gates of Hell we march Immortal soul, let there be light Into the Eye of Heaven Eagles at a holy war Fly higher than the sun We are one for all and all for one forevermore What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight? But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for Only have one thing on our mind Facing the fate, holy war ----- lyrics: LOVEBITES music: Mao arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami)
Hey!! Your classic metalhead will serve you well with LOVEBITES! They too are fans of the old school of metal!! Maiden, Priest, Helloween, Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, etc. Miyako is more shy on stage for sure, but on the videos on her channel she seems to be more relaxed and smiles more!! She grew up learning piano and classical music, maybe that's why she has a more "cold" posture. On the other side of the stage Midori is like a fireball, she loves the stage, and it shows!! Two totally different songs that i recommend are Set the World on Fire and A Frozen Serenade, both Live in 2021!! 🤘🐺🤘Enjoy!
Break The Wall by LOVEBITES (live Zepp Tokyo arena 2020) Strongly recommend to old metal- and thrash heads! They will slayer you! Much love to you and Ukraine 🌻🌻🌻💙💛💙
Great honest and indepth reaction🤘 Such an awesome band and so spectacular musicians who are technically perfect but they have not had the recognition in some countries due to unknown reasons . They are the best heavy metal band existing on planet earth 🌏 now ...IMO Thanks for spreading the music of Lovebites.....and would be grateful if you continue with it. 🤘 Some suggestions....Hammer of Wrath, Set the World on Fire, Winds of Transylvania, Break the World or an epic song from them Swan Song with Chopin beginning. Glory to Lovebites 🤘 🐺 🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Miho ! Miho! Miho! 🤘🐺🔥😍🔥
Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 Lovebites is one of the best bands in our country. We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". The history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since as early as 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.) Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄
They named their band after the Grammy winning Halestorm song 'Love Bites( So Do I)'. Formed in 2016, lead singer , Asami, has joined Lzzy and the boys on stage for that song. Their are several of these all female Japanese bands worth checking out. Nemophila is another one you'll probably enjoy. Adabana, Raitei, and Dissension. As well as their covers of Iron Maiden's The Trooper and Aces High.
Haruna "little BIG Engine" drums (4'9"; 1.45m) Asami "The One & Only Voice" vocals/piano (4'10"; 1.47m) Midori "Crazy Shredder" guitar (4'11"; 1.5m) Miyako "The Golden Touch" guitar/piano (5'2"; 1.58m) Miho "Natural Born Head-Banger" bass (5'1"; 1.55m) nicknames given by the band "Bravehearted": th-cam.com/video/MaKtRMiSfMI/w-d-xo.html written by "little BIG Engine" !
You know this put a big smile on my face? Watching you genuinely loving the band and the performance really made me love this band that I love even more. Thanks for the reaction, please do more of LOVEBITES in the near future. I'm sure many have suggested other songs, so any song is fine. PS: I will subscribe the second time you react to LOVEBITES lol. Be waiting for it!!
Oh! That was a cool reaction! Welcome to the Wolfpack! Lovebites are awesome! Miyako, the black haired guitarist, is a composer of the most of their music. She always "quiet" at the stage, but in real life she is a very active and funny person. Sometimes Asami's voice even higher than in this song - you will be impressed. All their songs are very different, but they are always amazing. Definitely you should listen to more of them...and make new reactions :) I recommend you to watch the song "Set the world on fire" - if you want more thrash metal. And you can watch "Swan Song with Shopin Intro" - if you want something interesting and more melodic. Thank you for your reaction. Waiting for new reactions to Lovebites. Also, you can check out another Japanese all female band called Nemophila with the song "Dissention". Definitely you will be impressed. Energy, Japanese, educated and multi talented describes all of these girls. First , ALL have been trained in piano, Blonde gtr player is a power lifter and bodybuilder who recently came 6th in body building comp with a bikini display and yes , she has a six pack. Bassist had done11 yrs with Dextrose and formed this band, the drummer was in Dextrose with her for a few years. The singer has done 16yrs of ballet training and was previously sing R n B stuff in nightclubs (Whitney, Mariah stuff) before learning about metal. Far right guitarist has 16yrs classical piano training and concert performances and learned guitar from a book when she started college. These girls have reset the bar for the standard of live performances. Judge for yourself. We are awaiting the announcement of their new bassist. Miho left the band in 2021. Miho wrote this song with their producer Mao. All write songs with Miyako (black hair guitar) writing about half of the music with the singer Asami writing the lyrics. There are 200+ Rock/Metal bands in Japan, with about half all female. So you need to pick up the pace! Some to checkout; Nemophila, Aldious, Bridear, more Band Maid, Unlucky Morpheus, Dollboxx, etc. Trivia; Miyako began piano at 3 yo, began guitar at 17/18. No lessons, just a "How To" book and a guitar. Swan Song with the Chopin Etude, is a very good next.
Well Done. Asterism(mixed) and Hanabie as well as Trident and Hagane deserve honorable mention as well. But yes the talent pool is Definately overflowing in Japan Musically.
Thank you for reaction to this masterpiece, man!👍🏻 Lovebites is currently still on hiatus right now due to the bassist competition they've made to find the new bassist.. But I believe they'll be back soon with the fresh look and the better equipment on the stage.. Can't wait to see your next reaction.. Have a great day!👍🏻
Great"first"reaction to this Amazing( Power Thrash Heavy) Metalband Lovebites !!! Wolfpack salutes you 😉👍 Perhaps you'll Check out their Song " the Awakening/The Hammer of Wrath" live !?! It's exactly what you hear : 1st Album, 1st Song !!! As an old Metalhead/ Musician ( Metalhead 🤘) I think It's the wright Way to learn about this 5 Ladies ! Btw...WOW...Zack Wilde...I saw him as a young Guy playing Guit. Here in Hamburg! You know...Ozzy !!!🔥🔥🔥
You’ve just been introduced to the most talented five individuals to ever set foot on stage and play music. I guarantee that if you like this song then you’ll like all 50. There is no album filler. Stage left guitarist Miyako is a trained concert pianist who then taught herself to play guitar from a book at age 18 (14 years ago). Her mom and dad played a lot of Purple and Rainbow and although Ritchie is one of her influences, the more performances I see by her the more I think her stage attitude is partly her less flashy personality and partly deliberate, calculated cool. I love it.
Thanks for the reaction! 👍👏 😊LOVEBITES are the GODDESSES of heavy , power , thrash metal ! In 2018 , LOVEBITES won the prestigious Metal Hammer GOLDEN GODS Award for "Best New Band" (London,UK). The winners of the GOLDEN GODS Award in different years and in various categories were such famous bands and musicians, such as : Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Twisted Sister, Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy Kilmister, Zakk Wylde, Nikki Sixx, Joe Perry, Judas Priest, Anthrax, Slayer, Saxon, Nightwish, Rammstein, Sabaton, Children of Bodom, Arch Enemy (and this is not a complete list). LOVEBITES is a Japanese female power metal band, formed in 2016 by former Japanese heavy metal band DESTROSE members Miho( bass, backing vocals) and Haruna(drums). The band has successfully performed at various major international rock-festivals many times .In the spring of 2018, LOVEBITES performed on the Japanese leg of the Warped Tour. In August 2018, they performed at Wacken Open Air (Germany), becoming the first Japanese female rock band to perform at the festival. Also in August 2018 they performed on the main stage of Bloodstock Open Air (UK). In 2019, LOVEBITES performed at the Download Festival in both Donington (UK) and Madrid (Spain). Their performance in Donington was named by the festival organizers and Metal Hammer magazine as one of the highlights of the festival! In the same year they performed at the Graspop Metal Meeting (Belgium) and the Summer Sonic Festival (Japan). Unfortunately, the Covid pandemic that began in 2020 prevents LOVEBITES from performing at festivals and forced a drastic reduction of concerts. LOVEBITES is a phenomenal band, all the ladies are talented musicians! For 5 years they have recorded about 50 songs and all the songs are very good! 🐺Miho - bass, backing vocals (in August 2021 she left the band). 🐺Haruna - drums. 🐺Midori - guitars, backing vocals. 🐺Miyako (Mi-Ya)- guitars, piano, keyboards, backing vocals. 🐺Asami - lead vocals, piano. 🐺Miho started playing bass in high school. Great bass player! The fact that such a wonderful band appeared is, first of all, the merit of Miho. She came up with the idea of starting a band and what kind of music the band would play, a combination of power metal and "old school" heavy metal. Miho was able to find and unite all these talented ladies in LOVEBITES. 🐺Haruna has played drums since she was thirteen years old, and began writing songs on a keyboard at fourteen. Haruna is the smallest (4 '9 ") , but appearances are deceiving. When Haruna sits down at the drums, this is the "little BIG Engine." She is one of the best drummers in Japan. 🐺Midori (blond hair) has been playing the piano since she was two years old and the electric organ since she was eight. She started studying guitar at the age of 20. Super guitarist, "Crazy Shredder". She surpasses many male guitarists in speed and technique of playing the guitar. Graduated from ESP / MI JAPAN Osaka , GIT-DX department (superfast guitar department). ESP / MI JAPAN Osaka is an international music school , headquartered in Hollywood, California, USA. 🐺Miyako (black hair) has been playing the piano since the age of three, received a classical education (piano) and wanted to pursue a career as a pianist. She has been playing the guitar since the age of 18. Super guitarist! They call her "The Golden Touch" and she is a real musical genius. Miyako is the main composer of the band, she wrote over 50% of the music. * In terms of teamwork , synchronization and harmonization of guitars , Midori and Miyako today are perhaps the best pair of guitarists in the world playing metal. One music critic said that two guitarists of this level (Midori and Miyako) in the same band is a crime!😊 🐺Asami started with R&B and soul music . She studied classical ballet for about 16 years (this is noticeable in her movements on stage, especially the movements of her hands). Started ballet lessons at the age of two. After leaving school, Asami lived for some time in the US, where she came to study jazz and hip hop dance. Plays the piano. Asami wrote most of the lyrics of the band's songs. All songs LOVEBITES are written in English. Unlike other metal bands, LOVEBITES are always on stage in white dresses . White dresses are their style. The Wolf is the mascot of LOVEBITES and is featured on all band's albums except the first EP "The Lovebites". The band's fans call themselves the 🐺Wolfpack🐺.
Lovebites has 2 leads guitars. On left crazy shredder" Midori Tatematsu one of the best guitarists in the world and the right side "the golden touch" or evil geniuses Miyako Watanabe one of the best guitarist in the world too🙂🤘🎸🐺
🎸Miyako is a DEAN Guitars Artist ( Icon USA Faded denim🎸ML switchblade custom run🎸Signature Original model V USA) 🤘🐺🤘🎸Midori is ESP Music Institute Osaka graduate🏆
Echo all the below, plus I'll add HARUNA, the drummer is quite a phenomenon. At 4' 9" she absolutely slaughters that savage Peral kit. She stays mainly in the pocket to support the twin attack leads of M&M, so you won't find drum solos from her on LOVEBITES tracks. Make no mistake though...HARUNA's skill set is elite class. It's rare to hear a drummer that can deliver the rests and spirts in her double kicks that perfectly accent the rhythm at these insane BPMs. That plus, her ability to add such tasteful fills along with the dynamic cymbal work she does while staying so elegantly in the pocket that sets her apart. It's her signature touch and it can go unnoticed to the untrained ear. The absolute epitome of how to service the band...she's got nothing to prove to anyone. 🤘🐺🤘
100% do more of these girls, they have been my favourite band for a good number of years now. As everyone else is saying, they have no bad songs. Check out 'Swan Song' (with the Chopin intro from Miyako, the black-haired guitarist), 'A Frozen Serenade' for what is basically a metal James Bond intro, or 'Don't Bite the Dust' if you want to see some more vocal showing off haha.
Just the beginning my friend, scratching the surface! Best band in metal period!! Time to up the irons...Set The World On Fire live next th-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/w-d-xo.html...thrash gallop for the ages, Testament style!! And the dark-haired lead was 4mos pregnant during the '21 show, she (Miyako) is a beast and virtuoso...you'll see!! 😉 🐺🦊
If not for YT no one in the U.S. would have any idea who they are, and still, almost no one over here right now has any clue they exist. The ride is going to be great and you are going to love them, all the tracks are winners. Their influences are Maiden, JP, Slayer, Megadeth, Helloween, Metallica, stuff like that.
All of these musicians are top notch. Not many groups actually work this well with two lead guitars (early Iron Maiden). They do it properly. Great reaction.
as far as all female japanese metal groups go LOVEBITES holds the top spot imo. they have never heard of playing a bad or even remotely mediocre song. and you nailed the personalities to a t. the reserved guitarist miyako is the mastermind of the group and writes about half of the music with the other members doing the rest along with assist songwriter mao yamamoto behind the scene. next level is the only way to describe the talent here and if you like this song the live version of 'set the world on fire' will knock you off of your chair : th-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/w-d-xo.html
I think the music industry in the states sucks TBH. What's going on bug this summer are the tours of bands who were in their prime eons ago. The Japanese metal/rock scene doesn't get exposure here which is sad. I've been listening to metal for 50+ years, starting when I was 11 when I heard The Immigrant Song by Zeppelin in 1971 and I've never looked back. Miyako, the quiet one, is now my favorite jusician of all time. That used to be Keith Emerson for me, but if you listen to Swan Song live then you will see that she is prodigy level at both guitar and piano.
Good review, I was going to suggest more Lovebites songs ,but wont because I've realized all their music is top notch ...There's not one bad song just really good and amazing.
🤘Your going to want to check out "Set The World On Fire" link th-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/w-d-xo.html this song is heavier and thrashier then Holy War and is really gonna blow your mind if this Holy War did
I think thanks at least in part to the pandemic and people like you, reactors, Lovebites are becoming better known in Europe as well as the US. Hopefully we'll be able to pressure promotors... They did play Wacken in Germany in 2018. One can hope they return...
Try also their video of SWAN SONG, which gives MIDORI a chance to show of herChopin chops on that white grand piano. BTW, in an early interview they said they were inspired by IRON MAIDEN. Three more Japanese bands to explore: - NEMOPHILA (ADABANA, OIRAN [demo version], MONSTERS) - HANABIE (WE LIKE SWEETS, NEET GAME) - SOKONINARU (TENOHIRA DE ODORU)

Welcome to one of the most amazing bands I've heard since I started listening to YT reactions. I put them up there with Nightwish, Epica, Sabaton, Arch Enemy, Jinjer, and Wintersun. There are lots of songs of course. A few of my favorites from them are Set the World on Fire, Swan Song, and for full thrash, Winds of Transylvania. You can't go wrong with any Lovebites song that I've heard so far.
First of all, you're welcome. This song is more on the Power Metal side with a little Thrash thrown in. Next try "Set the World on Fire" live from the Ride for Vengeance Tour 2021 for some solid in your face old school Thrash. The ladies are mainly influenced by Maiden, Priest, Helloween, Metallica and Slayer, so they are very "Old School" with some modern twists.
Welcome to the world of Lovebites, seems you've been bitten quite deep lol. I am pretty sure that it doesn't take long until you will get flooded with different song requests. "Raise some hell" would be a fun one to continue before you get to the bigger chunks. URL=[th-cam.com/video/zamSQD0JUFk/w-d-xo.html]See here [/url) Guess I am a mega noob in posting links lol
Check out their music video for Winds of Transylvania, if you like this song you'll love that one as well. Do the video, because the performance in edited into some really cool anime cuts.
Thanks for reacting to amazing Lovebites and spreading the word; they deserve more recognition Well, it seems you’ve just been lovebitten, too. Welcomed to the mind-blowing world of Lovebites. These women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile exceptional musicians. They really shine in their live performances. Their main influences are Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Helloween, Angra, Judas Priest, Dragonforce, and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their unique style. Miyako is also a concert-level classical pianist. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined Lovebites. In an interview, Miho (ex bassist) said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. My next suggestions are “Break the wall”, “The Awakening/Hammer of wrath”, “Set the world on fire”, “Shadowmaker”, “Raise some hell”, “Scream for me”, “When destinies align”, “The crusade”, “Frozen serenade”, “Spellbound”, “Don’t bite the dust”, “Winds of Transylvania”, “Edge of the world”, “Epilogue” (all live). Lineup: Haruna - Drums Miho - Ex Bass, backing vocals Midori - Lead & rhythm guitar, backing vocals Miyako - Lead & rhythm guitar, keyboards, classical piano, backing vocals Asami - Lead vocals, some piano Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years. Currently the band is in the process to find the new bassist. They play excellent covers of “Eagle fly free” (Helloween) and “Painkiller” (Judas Priest). For the latter there’s only audio.
Welcome to Lovebites. You said what I’ve felt as well and that is the American music industry doesn’t seem to want Lovebites to gain traction here. By the way, the “quiet” guitarist on the right, Miyako, is also a world class classical concert pianist and you’ll soon get to see her shred that white Roland grand in their performance of Swan Song with Chopin Intro.
Anyone with half a brain knows Lovebites will take over. And if the American music company execs can't cash-in on it... they don't want it over here. You know Victor-E is keeping tight control on this one. So we might see a stale-mate. Sad for fans, and sad for the band... if this happens. But company execs don't care about art, music, or talent... they only care about money.
You're welcome to join the Wolfpack. I'm an old school metal head too and this band have been now about two years my number one band. They bring emotions to me and that's the only way to enjoy music. So many great suggestions already so just pick one and surely like it.
I advise you, first of all, to pay attention to these songs LOVEBITES : "Thunder Vengeance", "Set the World on Fire", "Break the Wall", "Winds of Transylvania", "The Awakening"&"The Hammer of Wrath" . I think that you will like them!😊
These songs are definitely an old-school thrash fan's dream. Really, you can't go wrong with any Lovebites songs, but these are some of their more thrashy-sounding songs for sure.

Sadly, most American Headbangers are almost oblivious to the metal world outside the US except for some famous bands from Western Europe here and there! Seriously there are so many real musicianship out there with so many sub genres of Metal , even with the old school metal style, there are still so many young bands are carrying the heavy metal torch with pride.
METALHEAD: Metal is music played by long haired older white guys dressed in black with beer bellies and tattos. LOVEBITES: Hold our lipsticks. Nice start into Japanese Rock/Metal. You will find many Female (or female dominated) bands here. The most important (afaik) are: - LOVEBITES - BAND-MAID - NEMOPHILA - ASTERISM But you should also check out bands like: - UNLUCKY MORPHEUS - MARY'S BLOOD - RIE a.k.a. SUZAKU - ALDIOUS - BRIDEAR - NINGEN ISU - BRAY ME - BROKEN BY THE SCREAM - SHOW-YA - CYNTIA - DROP'S - WHISKEY DUST - SOKONINARU - YOSEI TEIKOKU - WAGGAKI BAND - TELECiDE - BABYMETAL - LADYBABY - PASSCODE - SAISEIGA - HANABIE - TOKYO GROOVE JYOSHI - TRIDENT - ZETTAI CLUB - CINQ ELEMENT - CLUPPO - D_DRIVE - DOLL$BOXX - FATE GEAR - GACHARIC SPIN - GLIM SPANKY - HAGANE - KIYOSHI ....and many more, but I think this will do for the start. Have fun during the next months! OH! And don´t forget "The WARNING" from Mexico, "VOICE of BACEPROT" from Indonesia and "Jinjer" from Ukraine!
You're an old school metalhead. You'll fit perfectly with LoveBites, especially since the sound and influences for their sound come from old school metal. Not so much as an "influence", but for some of their songs, you could take the entire band out - take out all 5 ladies - and put in Judas Priest, or Iron Maiden, or Anthrax, or Helloween (Haruna's (the drummer) favorite band), or even Slayer, and it would sound exactly the same. The only difference is that instead of having 5-6 sweaty long haired (or nowadays, balding) dudes up there, you have 5 gorgeous women laying down heavier than most guys do. Believe it or not, this was the 2nd song on their set for that night. I'd reacting to their set opener, Thunder Vengeance, from this same show. The only background of that song is this: Miho (the bassist) wrote the song after seeing Slayer perform live at Download Festival. With that, enjoy this rabbit hole!
Just by going on youre pictured background gear I'd say this band will numb your brain. They have 50 songs of wtf Awe just like this. Professor level musicianship and performance quite honestly.
Yeah, this dude is the exact age and musical background to go nuts for Lovebites. LoL! He just found his new favorite band, but he might not realize it yet. Resistance is futile! Wolfpack united!
I think that the main reasons why they are not well are a) They haven't played in the U.S., b) They are not marketed well here, c) The domestic corporate industry is biased
It's almost unfair how much talent Lovebites has. You mentioned Judas Priest, Lovebites does a. Spot. On. Cover of JP's Painkiller. You like Slayer? Listen to Brake The Wall. You would swear it's Slayer until Asami starts singing.
went to watch your reaction to the aforementioned 'set the world on fire' only to have it come up as a private video and could not see it. strange because it has been reacted to at least a hundred times - never seen it blocked in the states before. too bad i wanted to see you lose your mind !
You seem to have fallen into a hole in the Japanese Rock scene. You can no longer escape. Lovebites has a lot of great songs, but please listen to the following three songs first. 'You seem to have fallen into a hole in the Japanese rock scene. You can no longer escape. Lovebites has a lot of great songs, but please listen to the following three songs first. 'Holy War' that you heard this time. and 'Set the World on Fire' , 'Frozen Serenade'. other bands you must listen to : Band-Maid / Based on hard rock, prog rock, punk, pop rock, power ballads, acoustic ballads, etc. are all ripe. Wagakki Band / A Rock band of a new era that fuses traditional Japanese instruments with Rock. Asterism / The Jimi Hendrix Experience in the 21st century.
You may be ready for Aldious. Less polish, more passion. Aldious are the OGs in this space and a fantastic live experience. Try Dominator live for a taste. None of these bands are talked about enough - they are phenomenal and completely ignored by Western media. The west used ti love this stuff and fill stadiums with fans - they still could, it just requires far more skill and hard work than the garbage that’s popular today.
Let me draw your attention to another Japanese all female rock band "Raise A Suilen". They were originally formed as the backing band for the anime franchise "BanG Dream", so they were already accomplished musicians, but now, fronted by the imposing Raychell on bass and vocals, they are a great band in their own right. Please react to Raise A Suilen: "Repaint" live; th-cam.com/video/lpvrVQt60sY/w-d-xo.html
Now that you've done a couple easy Japanese reactions now you should react to something a little outside your comfort zone. Hanabie 'We Love Sweets' or if you really want to be adventurous Broken by the Scream 'Sayonara Birthday'.

🤘
@@hiawatha.g 🤣🤣 Spot on!
@@guitarzen5999 probably right. Of course, part of the problem is labels--genre labels and record labels!
@@hiawatha.g Absolutely
HARUNA !!! HARUNA !!! HARUNA !!! 🤘🐺🤘
Welcome to the Wolfpack 🐺🤘🏻
Asami: Vocals, piano, The One and Only Voice
Miho: Bass guitar, backing vocals, The Natural Born Headbanger (Left the band in 2021)
Haruna: Drums, The Little Big Engine
Midori: Guitars, backing vocals, The Crazy Shredder
Miyako: Guitars, keyboards, piano, backing vocals, The Golden Touch
Miyako The Messiah - She's been touched by the hand of God
"Raise Some Hell" is recommended 🐺
I agree 100% th-cam.com/video/zamSQD0JUFk/w-d-xo.html
They are the Alpha of Wolfpack...
🤘🤘🐺🐺🤘🤘...
Welcome to the Wolfpack brother...
Glad that you found us...
Thank you....
Welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981).
As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Here are more clips you should check out:
Their most recently posted live clips, “Set the World on Fire” th-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/w-d-xo.html and “Don’t Bite the Dust” th-cam.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/w-d-xo.html, which are both from their recently released concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”.
For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” th-cam.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/w-d-xo.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both)
Finally, while you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular:
"Shadowmaker" th-cam.com/video/Brmoln5Gxus/w-d-xo.html This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world
"When Destinies Align" th-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/w-d-xo.html
"Glory to the World" th-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/w-d-xo.html
"Winds of Transylvania" th-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/w-d-xo.html.
You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!
Great comment. Thanks so much!
Welcome to the Wolfpack! 🤘

LOVEBITES - Holy War lyrics:
Look at those black clouds, it’s going to rain blood
People live in fear, covered in mud
Singing oh Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
There is a thousand, a thousand of evils
Hush, do not wake up Satan’s devils
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and all for one forevermore
Kingdom of Heaven, never shall we fall
Reincarnation, wait for your call
Singing oh, Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
Morning star and dying moon
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Mighty soul, let there be hope
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
Stand up in the name of the God of heavy metal
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
Facing the fate, holy war
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and all for one forevermore
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
Facing the fate, holy war

Anything Lovebites will amaze.. from power ballads to in the face metal. These Metal Goddesses have it all !!
🤘🐺🤘Enjoy!
The Goddesses of Heavy Metal! This band has 0 bad songs. If you want to hear Asami belt out some more, check out Edge of the World (live). 🤘🏻🐺
Break The Wall by LOVEBITES (live Zepp Tokyo arena 2020)
Strongly recommend to old metal- and thrash heads!
They will slayer you!
Much love to you and Ukraine

LOVEBITES - Set the World on Fire
Great honest and indepth reaction🤘
Such an awesome band and so spectacular musicians who are technically perfect but they have not had the recognition in some countries due to unknown reasons .
They are the best heavy metal band existing on planet earth 🌏 now ...IMO
Thanks for spreading the music of Lovebites.....and would be grateful if you continue with it. 🤘
Some suggestions....Hammer of Wrath, Set the World on Fire, Winds of Transylvania, Break the World or an epic song from them Swan Song with Chopin beginning.
Glory to Lovebites 🤘 🐺 🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Miho ! Miho! Miho!
(Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.)
Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄
Haven't been to the US yet. They've been to Europe 3 times I think. 1st trip was to Wacken & Bloodstock. One trip was to tour the UK with DragonForce.
If you go further back you have Judas Priest - Lovebites
Yes! I love this band, the ladies are fantastic players!
Thanks for the great reaction, see you next! 👍
Welcome to LOVEBITES....enjoy your journey! Yeah, the ladies are for real....🤯👍

Thank you for reaction to this masterpiece, man!👍🏻
Lovebites is currently still on hiatus right now due to the bassist competition they've made to find the new bassist..
But I believe they'll be back soon with the fresh look and the better equipment on the stage..
Can't wait to see your next reaction..
Have a great day!👍🏻
Bloody Lovebites 🐺 I love'em
You know...Ozzy !!!🔥🔥🔥
congrats for finding them. very deep rabbit hole. they only have good songs, not even one bad or mediocre one.
I love it.
Indeed, you only have to watch Interviews or some of the content on her own channel to see a very relaxed and often smiling Mi-Ya.
One music critic said that two guitarists of this level (Midori and Miyako) in the same band is a crime!😊
🐺Asami started with R&B and soul music .
Awesome info thanks so much
@@massivemetalreactions It was a pleasure to share this information with you. Hope you keep checking out LOVEBITES😊
Lovebites has 2 leads guitars. On left crazy shredder" Midori Tatematsu one of the best guitarists in the world and the right side "the golden touch" or evil geniuses Miyako Watanabe one of the best guitarist in the world too🙂🤘🎸🐺
🎸Miyako is a DEAN Guitars Artist ( Icon USA Faded denim🎸ML switchblade custom run🎸Signature Original model V USA)
🤘🐺🤘🎸Midori is ESP Music Institute Osaka graduate🏆
Thats Lovebites. You just witness their talent, skilled, comitment musician. React more🤘🤘👍👍
Echo all the below, plus I'll add HARUNA, the drummer is quite a phenomenon. 🤘🐺🤘
And the fact that she is............... SO DANG CUTE! 🤗🥴🥺😍☺😭
@@TheCyberMantis haha, yes she is👸🥁⭐️🏆
So she's a little short? My girl Paulina from The Warning was a world class drummer when she was 11 years old.
@@Jordan-Ramses PAU 🥁⚡️
@@waterwalker9600 indeed! Paulina is darn close to being my favorite but obviously it's Yukina(Hanabie) at the moment. :) Also Mayu(Nemophila) :)
If you enjoyed that, I would also recommend "Set the World On Fire" next.
My Lovebites 🏴 🐺 🤘
Long live Lovebites! 🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
🤘Your going to want to check out "Set The World On Fire" link th-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/w-d-xo.html this song is heavier and thrashier then Holy War and is really gonna blow your mind if this Holy War did
Lovebites are awesome - enough said.
It's a wonderful reaction video that makes me happy just by watching it🦊I really like your reaction.
Three more Japanese bands to explore:
- NEMOPHILA (ADABANA, OIRAN [demo version], MONSTERS)
- HANABIE (WE LIKE SWEETS, NEET GAME)
- SOKONINARU (TENOHIRA DE ODORU)
LOVEBITES live songs Set The World On Fire, Raise Some Hell, Break The Wall, The Hammer Of Wrath, When Destinies Align, Shadow Maker, songs with classical piano intro Swan Song, Empty Daydream, Edge Of The World, Epilogue, cover song Pain Killer(Judas Priest),
Another all female Metal Bands NEMOPHILA(live at Whisky A GoGo Club Hollywood on 1st July 2022), BAND-MAID(USA Tours October 2022), HANABIE, ASTERISM(female guitarist/7string bass solo's) check them out bro...🤘
The guitarist on the right with black hair is Miyako. She uses Peavey Amps similar to the one you have. And she uses Dean guitars. Just FYI
Shadowmaker next.
'Noob' or not, you are helping to spread the word and helping reactors to post more Lovebites songs - Good On Ya! 🐺
Check out their music video for Winds of Transylvania, if you like this song you'll love that one as well.
Do the video, because the performance in edited into some really cool anime cuts.
Now you can change the Lovebites metal genre with: Chopin etude + Swan song!
Lineup:
Haruna - Drums
Miho - Ex Bass, backing vocals
Midori - Lead & rhythm guitar, backing vocals
Miyako - Lead & rhythm guitar, keyboards, classical piano, backing vocals
Asami - Lead vocals, some piano
Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years.
Here for my daily Lovebites fix 🐺

I advise you, first of all, to pay attention to these songs LOVEBITES : "Thunder Vengeance", "Set the World on Fire", "Break the Wall", "Winds of Transylvania", "The Awakening"&"The Hammer of Wrath" . I think that you will like them!😊
Great choices, but don't forget Raise some hell.. :)

These songs are definitely an old-school thrash fan's dream. Really, you can't go wrong with any Lovebites songs, but these are some of their more thrashy-sounding songs for sure.
@@PaulEMoz They are very cool..

Thanks so much! 🤘
To much talent for that age!
you mentioned judas priest, these girls did a great cover of judas priest pain killer, check it out and let us know your opinion on it
🐺🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

None of these bands are talked about enough - they are phenomenal and completely ignored by Western media. The west used ti love this stuff and fill stadiums with fans - they still could, it just requires far more skill and hard work than the garbage that’s popular today.
I don't know the band members as well as I like, but I take miyako's (stoic guitarist) uncaring look as her being so good that it's too easy.
