This was great, it honestly reminded me of how me and my best mate talk about cards. I love the different opinions on each card, it's like having an Angel and a Devil on your shoulders. Going back to watch the rest of you vids. Got yourself a new sub too.
I love the format and i really like the back and forth with the different opinion on the cards, the different points of view is not only very original on these kind of videos but also can be used to our own specific gaming groups
Really liked this one as well, especially between both your differing opinions. Both brought out valid points on the cards, even if you disagreed on their uses. It’s better to have differing opinions, to give wider views on stuff, instead of both just nodding along.
Just as a little bit of insight. I've been playing MTG for a very very long time, and Commander for well over a decade. I've played 8 person Planechase games that go on for hours. I like weird combo decks. I've been burned out on the super competitive side(even though I love me some old school Legacy Burn). So to me, Commander is a format that's about having silly fun with your friends, playing the cards you want, and building decks as a form of self expression. Cause of all that I can find a mote of joy in some pretty mid cards.
Yay!! Another! Really loving this format. I love the fact that you both don’t always agree on the card and it’s usage. You both see the ups and downs in different ways.
So, five-color goodstuff spam in Eldrazi. . . truly my joy floweth over; counter spells and removal for everybody with mass wipe chasers it is Wizards. The Bartender is stocked up and ready to go this time, so rest assured you won't be left thirsty.
We're going to try and get out 1st impressions for all 4 precons for this set at least, then see where this goes. Hope if you folks like these, there may be more!
@GrazzetMTG he has a few streams available on TH-cam aside from his videos, you guys have very similar conversational voices. Thought it was neat cause you're two of my preferred content creators. 😆
Im very interested in building Azlask, the secondary commander of this precon. Therefore i would be happy if a vid drops for my guy. Great vid and good takes. :D
Definitely disagree with the Mutated Cultist skepticism. Think about how many commanders center around +1 counters alone to win. Hakbal, Mothman, and Voja are 3 off the bat that i've played against recently. I think there will always be at least 1 player or 1 permanent with counters.
Activate Azlask twice with even a smallish board, and all of a sudden you can effectively remove a relevant threat from the game without dealing ANY damage.
War room checks your commander's color identity, not "the colors" on the mana cost. So even if it's devoid, it still has a color identity (that's why you can use all colors in the deck, despite it being "devoid"). So no, don't use War Room in this deck
I think devoid negates that. Even though the colors are there on Ulalek, devoid negates what the commander identity is. But if I'm wrong and I'm pretty sure I am, then play Azlak that has colorless identity that can cast other colored cards.
Thank you sooooooo much for this video! I have preordered the Eldrazi precon but seeing a lot of youtubers and comments on their vid saying that this deck was not worth the price I was thinking about canceling the order because of all the shit people are throwing on this deck. Luckily I found your commentary guys! I thought I could be biased about my desire for the deck to be good in some ways, but thanks to your clear and pretty much complete comments on the cards you really convinced me to keep it, and I'm not changing my mind again. Yes, it's not completely based on the classical giant Eldrazi creatures and surely it is what most players expected and maybe the reason they're so harsh with it, but as you said in the video, it is still a pretty good precon! Thank you again and keep up the hard work! :)
I have a Morophon Eldrazi deck and have been waiting for an actual 5 colored Eldrazi commander to play all the devoid things for a while, can’t wait to see the upgrade for this deck
With Chittering Dispatcher, at worst you'll make 4 mana since if they block kill the original it'll generate 4, not 3 meaning at worst case you'll have 9 mana next turn post block assuming you didn't miss a land drop each turn
Im super excited to finally have a legitimate eldrazi commander with uzalek! I’m making him my commander but still keeping everything colorless in my deck haha maybe I slide in a rhystic study and a single island for the memes 🤣
I absolutely love this new video format! The fact that you are somewhat being shown things for the first time helps make for an immersive experience and the second person giving their opinions is the cherry on top, since you two have two different perspectives on a lot of the cards!! Please keep it up 10/10 will reccommend to my mtg play groups
14:03 the reason I believe inversion behemoth is here is to be a budget friendly Eldrazi as it isn't that expensive and is easily accessible and it can serve up as an anti-toughness strategy as it can turn any 0 power creatures which a lot of high toughness creatures are known for into 0 toughness creatures like for instance with Inversion behemoth out one can turn Doran the siege tower one of the best and the original toughness commander from 0/5 to 5/0 effectively killing it right then and there and if Doran is your commander your toughness strategy becomes very difficult if not impossible to run with Inversion behemoth out as it'll constantly swap the stats of any other creatures on the table as I see fit until anyone gets it off the table. This is just my opinion and yes I do play it in my personal Eldrazi deck
I don't agree with you in the card of Mutated Cultist, in a normal game, in general terms, MTG has been putting a lot of things that plays with counters, and the Eldrazi does not say a Player, it say a player or a permanent, so a big creature with Idk, 8-1/+1 counters on it, you have a discount of 8 counters, and if you say to me that it's very weird that you phase a creature with counters on it, I would say that I don't know how your group is, but for me all the time I phase players that has a lot of counter synergies.I'm not saying that is an amazing card, I'm just saying that is more common than you think that you will get the discount.
That's a fair point. I suppose I am looking at it more from the perspective of it being a reliable ramp piece instead of a silver bullet against counter focused decks/permanents - which ends up making me think that it is just too unreliable to draw into early and expect to hit something with enough counters on it to warrant running it. Looking at this as more a mid to late game piece that we are just using as a silver bullet that can incidentally generate us a lot of ramp but that not being its primary purpose though, makes this a bit more palatable (for me anyway).
This was by far one of the best video review for this new precon! It was very informative and great seeing the banter between both of you! Great video! Thanks gents!
Maybe im misunderstanding Ulalleks ability... It says copy ALL spells you control. Would thatnot copy every spell you have in play? You control those apells and they are still spells, right? Or is it only spells on the stack... If anyone could clarify that would be awesome!
If they are in play they aren't spells, they are permanents (example: creature). Everything while it's on the stack is a spell though (example: creature spell) If it's in your hand it's a card (example: creature card)
Vh yшs, mθrш шldrιtch pθdcvst gθθdnшss. *a moment to cough out the dusty tentacles* Sweet new vid as always! Good luck deciphering what I typed... Day 1004 of waiting for the face reveal. Got a favourite piece of Lovecraft-style fhtagn? I mean fiction?

i absolutely love this format. a nice look into your brain on how you look and understand cards and combos as they are presented.

All that experience and yet you still can't evaluate cards properly... such a shame (I kid... at least mostly)
Yay!! Another! Really loving this format. I love the fact that you both don’t always agree on the card and it’s usage. You both see the ups and downs in different ways.
exactly this! really like the dynamic between the two! enjoying these precon reviews a lot!
Loving absolutely everything about this format, especially, Grazzet’s “actual” voice! 😊

Honestly very much enjoy this and I very much enjoy the banter between you two!
Really loving this format. Please keep it up. Also looking forward to seeing the precon budget upgrades for these new ones.
Great video, felt like a proper deep dive on the deck as opposed to the people clashing over it being amazing or horrible
I enjoy the snark to snark banter between y'all
Yay! Another video in this format! More pls
We're going to try and get out 1st impressions for all 4 precons for this set at least, then see where this goes. Hope if you folks like these, there may be more!
Grazzet's conversational voice is eerily similar to Sseth Teeznch's.
I did not know who this was but I check them out and... Maybe?

The build looks good, and thank you guys for the break down.
yes if a spell is kicked and you copy it you get all the effects
Perfect, thanks for the clarification!

if you run Azlask you will want token doublers so chittering dispatcher becomes really good when 3 becomes 6 that becomes 12
Another Great talk. Love this series :)
Glad you enjoy it!
Activate Azlask twice with even a smallish board, and all of a sudden you can effectively remove a relevant threat from the game without dealing ANY damage.
Technically it's 300 if you get the collectors addition of the deck
Put Spreading Plague in this and thanks me later
Keep doing this format, I like seeing the different views of the cards.
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the feedback!

If it worked that way ulalek couldn't be the commander. It has all the coloured land would be illegal.@chucklarock8010
@@lilithhenderson Yeah you might be right!

I can’t wait to see the upgrade video, I’m very eager to see how u update it. Iv updated a few of my precons off ur videos and iv loved each one
I really like this video keep it up

Step 1: Buy the precon for almost 600 dls
Step 2: Get the big eldrazis
Step 3: Enjoy having no money or friends 😮
i preordered the collectors for 150
already gotten all the legal titans , need to get the new 3
cant wait
Im super excited to finally have a legitimate eldrazi commander with uzalek! I’m making him my commander but still keeping everything colorless in my deck haha maybe I slide in a rhystic study and a single island for the memes 🤣

Mutated Cultist+ Dark depths then you get a 10 mana discount for free and a 20/20 just a funny idea lol
Sudden spoiling was the card that came to mind when I saw the inversion behemoth and angel aberration.
Im super excited for your Decklist on that precon.

This precon is absolutely trash, what a disappointment
Trash in what way. What more did you want?
Seems like more expirance is needed
I mean thats fair - its our first outing with this "Podcast Format" so hopefully we improve over time if we continue doing this.
really liking this format! looking forward to the upgrade videos!
favorite channel for upgrades! waiting for this one
That "Benthic Anomaly" looks pretty nasty
Keen for your upgrade 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Cool video guys. Cheers
Enjoying this new series!

hope to see something built around Coram, the undertaker :]

You do not get cast triggers you are not casting the copies
Yeah but Ulalek copies all triggers on the stack as well. Which includes the cast triggers from the Eldrazi you're casting.
