- After running 50 km from Gavarnie, France, to Parzan, Spain, the previous day, I set out the following morning to cross back into France along the Pyrenean Haute Route (HRP) on the way to summit Pico de Aneto, the tallest mountain in the Pyrenees. The day started off easy, but ended up with me getting soaked in a hailstorm and having to bivouac at 9000 feet (3000 m).

Thanks Yens, glad you enjoyed it!
Miguel, you are one tough customer. I hope the rain stopped soon after.
That night it was pretty windy and wet, but the following morning it cleared up and fortunately I was able to dry my stuff out. Had it continued to be cold, it would have been really miserable.
