I've always kept LEE loadall's and Loadall II's on hand for pre crimping new hulls, but I've always favored a Mec sizemaster or even a jr for putting together a tighter shell. I ran across an inline Bair about 30- 35 year ago that did an excellent job of putting shells together into tightly rolled ammunition. Today I don't load the same way I did all those years though and don't even have a Mec anymore. I use a Hornady 366 auto for production which does a very good job and has the same dies as the old inline Bair. For assembling small amounts of high quality ammo I use an RCBS Rockchucker including for beautiful tapering. I mainly use a load all for pre crimp on new hulls only or for dropping and wad seating. I also use roll crimp tools for many things and all brass hulls are done on SS metallic presses. I prefer an accurate wad gauge and a cam action final crimp die like I use on my Rockchucker or Hornady for precision and consistency. Although many claim the final crimp is all that's required with modern wads chrono-graphing says otherwise. It really does not matter much I guess to most hunters or target shooters... I can use one of my old LEE loaders and roll ammo good enough to fill the larder so it's more of an OCD thing than anything else I guess.
Can you do a detailed video on how to put them together for 12ga, and what else is needed besides the expansion plugs? Thanks! I just my plugs delivered today from eBay. I ordered them immediately after watching the video when it posted on 09.19.2024
@theshotgunscientists do you have that eBay sellers name? The ones I just got have a square at the top of the plug because the screw/bolt start off with the same shape, before becoming cylindrical like "normal".
Thanks, Tyler. Great Video I absolutely love my Lee Load all 2 in 12ga. I have been using the Gaep and the other tool from eBay. The upgrade on the Lee Press really makes it shine as a fully functional press. Note: I do not use the hopper I use digital scale for shot and a powder throw and balance beamscale with trickler for powder.
After crimp what do you use to close and finish the crimp for the 28ga? I bought the 3d printed lee load all kit you showcased on an earlier video and the only thing that works well is the pre-crimp tool and the primer tools. The taper/crimp finisher destroys the hull every time. I don’t think the one I received is in spec. Thanks for your videos
How do ya find these. I looked on e bay, amazon, and no find. Can you send me to them direct. I have the 12 GA load all and want to load 410, so I need the dies. Bought the 3d printer dies you showed, but want a better set up. Thanks.
That's quite a dollar investment, ya'll got there bud. I'm just using the crimp finisher and I need 2 more of those.
Great Job, Guys!!!
@@neonjoe6180 the only one I paid for is the 10 gauge ribassatore. All the others were sent to us.
Very cool video. I could see you doing a more indepth instructional video for each gauge for assembly and use
That's the plan

@@dontblink2782 You just screw the plug to the dies and slide them inside the crimp tubes there’s really nothing more to it
