    Funny thing is, I like watching these like I like watching Tim Kreitz Adventures because I get to see the big sky and it reminds me of home. Makes me a little homesick, but also a little warm inside. I used to take a very backroad from college to home. If you go straight down Slide Rd. and keep going, you hit some of the farm land. Just have to be careful, there are hard stops and 90 degree turns on some of those roads.

    Conley, just wondering if you would be willing to give some info on how your whole operation works. I know there's several family members and you always mention many people working at one time. Just curious how large of an operation it really is, and who is involved or working for the farm, or how many I guess.

    But i have a question about the planters. Wouldnt it be way more efficent to have bigger seedstorage on them so you dont have to refill so often?

    • @conleybanman
      @conleybanman  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Db planter with the box in the middle, no. But box extensions, yes. Because the db style planters break peanut seeds as they bring it down the seed tubes

    In this video it was different seeing cars around and you were actually driving on a 2 way road going to the field. When planting the smaller fields I was surprised that you still had 2 planters going instead of one per field. When you get done with planting you probably won't want to step into a tractor for awhile after spending day after day planting.

    • @conleybanman
      @conleybanman  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well I don’t mind the tractor driving but I’m think I’m tired of climbing in an out of one 😂. But we still had to be on the same field because of filling up seed

      Yes

    • @robertreznik9330
      @robertreznik9330 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In the Northern Panhandle That is a good planter for Cotton but also used for Grain Sorghum and Corn. We plant in a circle for not crossing wheel tracks and the round on a half miller is 6 miles on the outside. If you were planting sorghum you could plant 1000 acres on a seed fill up! How far are you from Lubbock?

  • @nbcnco25

    We plant corn and soybeans here and would never plant with the lid off due to the dirt messing up singulation, are peanuts just dirty to start with and what kind of seed disk do you use?

    • @conleybanman
      @conleybanman  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Peanuts are huge and we usually have to fill up after one round so constantly taking lids off get annoying. Plus you get to really fill them up. I believe the plates are small edible bean and for Virginia’s it’s large edible bean

    • @nbcnco25
      @nbcnco25 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@conleybanman I figured that was that was the case, plus at those rates, spacing doesn't matter like in corn.
