    I need that Doctor ID badge in my life, the amount of times I get mistaken for everything else BUT a doctor can be annoying lol xx

      I, and so many female colleagues, agree with this. They get mistaken for nurse, PA, social worker, and even a maid (yes, they were wearing their scrubs + whitecoat and still got called maid...). Now don't get me wrong, those are all great careers and we all need them but don't forget that women can work as doctors and surgeons too (it's 2020 and I think it's safe to say that the traditional male dominated fields of medicine is now seeing a lot of women and they deserve their recognition too).

      I get mistaken even with a large badge on my chest. I think people just assume I should be the nurse and don't even register the tag until the other health care staff refer to me as the doctor. I could stand side by side with my male colleagues and they will get greeted as the doctor while I would be called the nurse. Some I correct still call me nurse in error from time to time. I once was working with a male nurse and they called him doctor and called me nurse. It's just the stereotype type here.

      Any time I see a person in scrubs I think of a range of categories that they could be. Doctor is one of them. I never assume one over another. Sad they mistake you for anything else.

    I had to buy a backpack as mine is like that style but slightly smaller. I found I need a large bag for grocery shopping. It gets tiring carrying everything with my hands. It will be great to be able to store much more in my bag. Love your videos. Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks for posting Jamie!!! I’m applying for EM this year and it’s awesome to see more Asian female representation in this field. I’m from out of state interviewing at a few NY programs- any tips on how I can show my interest in living in NY?

    I saw two people at the grocery store today with face shields, they were older. It's black Friday on Amazon, so I ordered a Kindle of some sort, I have a Fire Tablet, but it runs out of power really quickly. Multi-pens, another term I didn't know, I liked them for foreign language class, for doing conversions. My morning nurse told me about the light feature on my cell phone when she was looking for a pill that fell onto my kitchen floor.

    Anyhow what about epi pens? I saw in the movies how useful it is for maybe some paramedics for hypotensions. How accurate is this? Lol.

    I've been an EMT for a little over a year and I just want your input about how I should go about things. Being an ER doctor is the ultimate goal to me. I know becoming a paramedic is helpful to becoming an ER doctor. I haven't started college yet and was just wondering if I should go into paramedic school first or take the paramedic course at the same time with my college classes? Any help would be appreciated :)

    • @bxnyshit3416
      @bxnyshit3416 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    So confused. Here in Germany we are allowed to have a personal stethoscope and perhaps a notepad with us. But it should stay in the hospital. Scrubs and the rest is given by the hospital. Not allowed to bring our own and not allowed to take it home for obvious hygiene reasons....
