I said this about Wanda Sykes, and I'll say it about Chelsea Handler: while I don't think she'll get the hosting job, I truly hope she gets a show. Her views of the current events are absolutely hilarious, and are a breath of fresh air in a very moderated comedy world. She's hilarious. I wish Chelsea Lately never ended.

Chelsea has had her own show- it was amazing
By "moderated" you mean that only politically acceptable humor - like Chelsea's - is permitted, right? There's nothing she says that can't be said; she's the very opposite of transgressive.
So far, this was the best week of the show with the guest hosts. Everyone else has been great, but Chelsea really knew what she was doing.
I’ve always said that this is her niche comedy wise. There’s a reason her talk show was so popular. this medium was her strong suit as opposed to her stand up. She just feels comfortable there. And honestly, she kind of reminds me of the Stewart days.

Chelsea is the best for the job. She is a bit of a female John Stewart. On top of that she is the most natural host, doesn't feel like she's reading, has a comedic presence.
We must have been watching different shows, everything she said sounded forced to me like she was not feeling what she was reading in the script.
