Glad you liked it. To make the basket 2 times bigger, take 2 times more threads and length. Only such a bottom will not work. It will be necessary to make circular double half hitch knots and reduce the threads with each circle.

Yes, you can increase the length of the thread and the height of the basket will become larger.

This is a beginner question... can you use wool to do this? Or does it have to be string?
It is difficult to weave on woolen threads, they are shaggy. And they are usually too thin.
