Hey Adam! One modern television show that must have been influenced by OTR is The Simpsons. Moe Sizlac, the proprietor of Moe's Tavern, sounds an awful lot like Archie on Duffy's Tavern. And, Moe even looks an awful lot like Ed Gardner, who played the role of Archie. There's also an occasional character, whose name I can't remember, who looks and sounds a lot like Frank Nelson. Of course, I gave up on The Simpsons quite a few years ago, because what started out as an innovative satire turned into just another sitcom when the original writers all left. So, there might be even more OTR influences there that I don't remember.
