happy birthday ace!!! :3(i had a similar moment to when he said goodbye to luffy in fight together when my father passed and he appeared to me when i was wide awake in spirit,gave me a hug and without saying a word with a warm smile told me i'd be fine,to be strong & me and my family would see him again before leaving with me having a big luffy grin on my face telling him goodbye.:,3) a gentle yet brave easy going hero whose flame will never go out(which this song really shows.) with how much his brothers loved him and his legacy impacting the series even today.(especially with the implication of his spirit living on through his devil fruit/luffy's red hawk being done as a memory of him.)

I couldn't help but cry listening to this. Especially after reading the first comment :( People say loving a fictional character isn't as deep as loving a real person.. Then explain why I'm crying every time I see him? I got really attached to him, even before Marineford. I've never loved someone more in my life I don't know how to explain it. For those who are interested: There are 4 new songs from the 47 cruise series. One of them is sung by Sabo, the second one by little Sabo, Luffy and Ace. The third one is sung by Kyros and Rebecca and the last one is ONE WORLD sung by Straw Hats. :)
Ace will always be my favourite One Piece character. I still remember when I first read that chapter in the Marineford arc... It broke my heart. The way Oda writes so well that you feel for his characters, like you're on the journey with them as an observer. Its incredible and a testament to his skill and experience as a manga author.
...Toshio Furukawa's singing is the only moment when you can hear his age (he's 68 going on 69). Not that that's a bad thing or anything~ He's a really great singer.
DeltaSilver88 In that case, I hope they're all still alive by the time OP ends! It would suck big time if one of the voice actors for one of the major characters died before the end of the series. Mihawk's original voice actor died, but it wasn't a huge problem, because he was only in a few episodes before Marineford.
***** Jinbe's original voice actor died pretty early, too. Same with Smoker's. ...Though granted, I actually think their new voices fit them better (especially with Jinbe). Other One Piece voice actors that died are: those of Gold Roger, Sengoku, Nefertari Cobra, Zeff, Benn Beckman, Crocus, Haredas, Toto, Montblanc Noland/Cricket and a few minor characters. That's quite a blow already... especially with Roger, considering we're likely still supposed to have several flashbacks of him!
DeltaSilver88 I had a feeling Smoker had a different voice actor than the one he had during the Loguetown Arc. I was wondering about Jinbei's too. It's like he had one in the first episode he was in and another when Luffy let him out of his cell. But damn! Roger's too!? That's gonna make things tough. We've heard his voice so many times between the openings and the flashbacks, it's gonna sound weird the next time we hear his voice. Sengoku's voice actor had good timing. Since he resigned from the marines, it looks like we're not gonna see much more from him. I didn't really notice Beckman's since his voice has only been heard in a couple episodes so far. It's crazy how many of them died. I hope the others will still be alive by the end of the series at least.
It's just a matter of finding a suitable replacement - they got Toru Ohkawa as the second Sengoku. Benn Beckman was originally Kazuyuki Sogabe - the new one is Aruno Tahara. Daisuke Gori was original Jinbe, new one is Katsuhisa Houki (...Houki was also MORIA. That means the Marineford scene where Jinbe and Moria fought, he was talking to himself...). Ginzo Matsuo was original Smoker - new one is Mahito Ohba (who's also the narrator). Ivankov's voice was also replaced - the original, Norio Imamura, only voiced him for the Impel Down arc. The first moment Iva shows up at Marineford, his voice is Mitsuo Iwata - though it's difficult to notice since they sound so similar. They also changed King Riku's voice - Masashi Hirose, the original, was hospitalized so Banjou Ginga took over from episode 666 onwards.

For example, I'm pretty sure in Koei franchises (Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, Neoromance), all their voice actors have to be good at singing live due to their dozens of live events. +mewantcool Actually, Funi has already dubbed a few songs in English. XD We've heard Chris Sabat and co. sing "Family", for one. And surprisingly, he's _good_. In fact, he's better than Japanese Zoro.

happy birthday ace!!! :3(i had a similar moment to when he said goodbye to luffy in fight together when my father passed and he appeared to me when i was wide awake in spirit,gave me a hug and without saying a word with a warm smile told me i'd be fine,to be strong & me and my family would see him again before leaving with me having a big luffy grin on my face telling him goodbye.:,3)
a gentle yet brave easy going hero whose flame will never go out(which this song really shows.) with how much his brothers loved him and his legacy impacting the series even today.(especially with the implication of his spirit living on through his devil fruit/luffy's red hawk being done as a memory of him.)

For those who are interested: There are 4 new songs from the 47 cruise series. One of them is sung by Sabo, the second one by little Sabo, Luffy and Ace. The third one is sung by Kyros and Rebecca and the last one is ONE WORLD sung by Straw Hats. :)
Ace will always be my favourite One Piece character. I still remember when I first read that chapter in the Marineford arc... It broke my heart. The way Oda writes so well that you feel for his characters, like you're on the journey with them as an observer. Its incredible and a testament to his skill and experience as a manga author.

...Toshio Furukawa's singing is the only moment when you can hear his age (he's 68 going on 69). Not that that's a bad thing or anything~ He's a really great singer.
DeltaSilver88 In that case, I hope they're all still alive by the time OP ends! It would suck big time if one of the voice actors for one of the major characters died before the end of the series. Mihawk's original voice actor died, but it wasn't a huge problem, because he was only in a few episodes before Marineford.

Jinbe's original voice actor died pretty early, too. Same with Smoker's. ...Though granted, I actually think their new voices fit them better (especially with Jinbe).
Other One Piece voice actors that died are: those of Gold Roger, Sengoku, Nefertari Cobra, Zeff, Benn Beckman, Crocus, Haredas, Toto, Montblanc Noland/Cricket and a few minor characters.
That's quite a blow already... especially with Roger, considering we're likely still supposed to have several flashbacks of him!
DeltaSilver88 I had a feeling Smoker had a different voice actor than the one he had during the Loguetown Arc. I was wondering about Jinbei's too. It's like he had one in the first episode he was in and another when Luffy let him out of his cell.
But damn! Roger's too!? That's gonna make things tough. We've heard his voice so many times between the openings and the flashbacks, it's gonna sound weird the next time we hear his voice.
Sengoku's voice actor had good timing. Since he resigned from the marines, it looks like we're not gonna see much more from him. I didn't really notice Beckman's since his voice has only been heard in a couple episodes so far.
It's crazy how many of them died. I hope the others will still be alive by the end of the series at least.
It's just a matter of finding a suitable replacement - they got Toru Ohkawa as the second Sengoku.
Benn Beckman was originally Kazuyuki Sogabe - the new one is Aruno Tahara.
Daisuke Gori was original Jinbe, new one is Katsuhisa Houki (...Houki was also MORIA. That means the Marineford scene where Jinbe and Moria fought, he was talking to himself...).
Ginzo Matsuo was original Smoker - new one is Mahito Ohba (who's also the narrator).
Ivankov's voice was also replaced - the original, Norio Imamura, only voiced him for the Impel Down arc. The first moment Iva shows up at Marineford, his voice is Mitsuo Iwata - though it's difficult to notice since they sound so similar.
They also changed King Riku's voice - Masashi Hirose, the original, was hospitalized so Banjou Ginga took over from episode 666 onwards.

+Acamellegas ! ...I don't think they use autotune that much in Japan. XD Japanese voice actors actually sing their studio songs on live stage, usually without any editing or lipsyncing. For example, I'm pretty sure in Koei franchises (Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, Neoromance), all their voice actors have to be good at singing live due to their dozens of live events.

Sabo's job used to be to read those pirate story books Luffy loved so much and his favorite atlas at night to sooth the ball of energy, but they buried them at the cliff... They were just too hard for Ace to look at and Luffy didn't like to see Ace's face to get so pinched up when he saw the memory box.... It was raining the night Ace remembered Sabo once saying Ace'd have a good singing voice if he didn't get so embarrassed. He decided to teach Luffy when the sun rose that morning.
