You really think that they'd be doing this on a live TV show to so many people if it killed them? They'd be done for murder 😂😂😂
Surely, it couldn't truly be unsuspecting for real, right?
I mean, you have to legally inform them ahead of time and get their consent first, otherwise, you're opening yourself up to lawsuits from people claiming they were abused and humiliated and that they didn't consent and any other claim they want to make, AKA trauma, etc. Or, just being mad and violated.
Especially, I heard that Audience Members also get Gunged on the show unexpectedly? That's obviously a joke right? That'd be an even BIGGER lawsuit city!
If anyone just point blank refused to get Gunged, there would be nothing they could do. They couldn't just ignore them and do it anyway/ force it on them against their will.

She clearly had no idea. Her reaction is pure. But she took it in her stride with good humour… her own mother stitched her up.
They didn't always know in advance , but most all took in good spirit, they'd be sorted out behind the scenes, safety would be important, towels ,showers, laundry facilities would all be available, probably offered a free night out or tickets to a show by the BBC to thank them, their hair, clothes would all be perfectly fine.
