OMFG I knew I was playing it right. I’m a guitarist who enjoyed playing the game and learned never fade away but all tabs and videos I saw would say the way I learned by ear was incorrect but the game proved me right. I just love the accuracy of the guitar even though sometimes it can be a bit choppy.

It's low key funny that you can only make V play guitar after Johnny was put into his head. Granted, this is the only instance I'm aware of where V plays the guitar himself. Every other time during specific missions, it's technically Johnny. It's uncertain if that could be considered canon or an oversight, because of that. Considering that V and Johnny effectively share the same memories by that point however, I'm inclined to believe the Relic just made V an instant guitar pro by complete accident. Shit, who needs Yousician even? Just put a bullet in your head and convince a dead rock star to live inside the hole! Way easier way to learn guitar!

Adamczyk play his guitar while wearing motion capture gloves, or at least do the motions since i bet it'd be hard to actually play while wearing them. He wrote the samurai songs with help from the band Refused who did the actual performance for all the samurai songs in game

All the instruments actually being animated properly is such an amazing touch for those that actually play them, even the hand pans are done correctly. The mocap team needs more praise.
I started last new years, it's November now and I actually got master of puppets almost to the end, just know that if you put your mind to it you could play anything adventually! Just practise, it's mostly just a mind game and some finger bleeding lol
These songs aren’t especially hard, so it’s totally doable. I highly recommend finding a teacher who you get on with, and who actually knows the artists and kind of music you enjoy. Music theory isn’t as hard as it sounds, a lot of it is rather intuitive, and learning it will help you through a lot of hurdles that you might just stumble through on your own. Finding someone who will teach you that stuff in a way that doesn’t feel daunting or over complicated will help you massively.

Since this is a recycled animation, you can see V's hand doing some holographic glitching when they shift. Its noticable on the lighter portion of the guitar.
They should make it longer, like full song and make qte for the player. TLoU2 mechanics are insane but kinda hard to translate into keyboard, but making it just more interactable sounds about right.
Yooo low key you could probably use a track pad for it if they ever felt like translating the controls since a track pad is the same thing as dual shocks touch pad, however I know pc gamers don’t use a track pad to game so it would have to be an add on or built into key board

I like how all guitars in Night City not only seem to always be in Drop D instead of E-Standard but can also change tunings on the fly. The finger movements are accurate, yes, but almost everything else is questionable
The guitar V is playing would be unplayable in real life because the action (height of the strings) is too high from the fretboard. If the action was lower then it would be perfect
Not unplayable, just more difficult Something in the higher register with a bit of speed would be impossible though, but even with abnormally high action it's no biggie playing powerchords. It doesn't help that the strings being fretted (fucking obviously) isn't actually simulated/animated, so it looks worse. I speak from experience btw, i'm already quite accustomed to playing powerchords and similar stuff with my 40 year old Leningrad guitar
