    Thank you! One of the best explainations of the Stevenson system I have seen yet. I also totally agree with your larger flywheel comment. I make model steam engines from scratch, no plans, and I appreciate learning various systems that have been used. You can see my models on my channel. Fred Ontario NY

    With a link with a properly designed radius, the engine WILL run in neutral position if it is started before being placed in neutral gear.

    I am building a sterling engine atm. Anyone have some experience on flywheel weight? How much should a flywheel weigh? (The engine in question will have 2 cylinders so counter weight is not so much of a problem).
