Difficulty: 12/10?! Damn! :D When I started DST I was only watching two channels : Joeshmo and you. Now you're including two of my challenges in your video? No way. That means more than you can imagine : it's definitely a real accomplishment. GG for the fights and thank you very much for that wonderful video dude!
Your DF challenge reminded me of what it was like to play the Dark Souls games blind. It's like banging your head against a brick wall. But it feels great once you get over it:D
@@CarrionMorris I think around 8 hours over 4 days. 2 hours a day only doing the fight. The whole fight would only take 8 minutes, so that is a lot of attempts.
Un. Freaking. Believable. You seriously just took the top five legendary DST battles of all time and replicated them brilliantly. I also agree 100% about FW snare buff. It doesn't make the fight any harder, just means you gotta grind for more lazy explorers and actually makes the fight faster because you're not trying to save resources by hugging the walls while waiting for the Woven Shadows to despawn. 10/10. I am so glad to see you return to DST and remind me why you, Joe, and Don will always be my fav's.
@@helicalpuma Hey how are you doing with the editing. I'M not impatient I just really want to see your playthroughs. I hope you don't disappear again. I really miss you. You inspired me to start my own Wendy playthrough
Nice vid! I would also recommend Korean Waffle's fuelweaver speed run if you haven't see it--it's perhaps one of the funniest (and hard) speed run I've seen so far
In my opinion, the single hardest challenge in the game is beating the crab king boss with nine pearls socketed (without cheats and/or cheesing methods). With console commands, it is possible to get, and socket nine whole pearls in Crab King, coming up as total of 27 Iridescent Gems' worth. By doing that, Crabby will gain *FIVE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-SEVEN THOUSAND* Total Hit Points and insanely powerful attacks, like instant ten second freeze, thousands of hit points gained from a single healing move, dozens of imposing claws with more hit points each then most bosses in single player mode, dozens of geysers that almost instantly destroy your boat and so on. The challenge is so difficult that there's probably no one that has ever beaten it.
Thanks. I haven't used the portal yet because I like having a world where I only play one character. But I think it was a great addition. It's always good to have the option.
I made a new youtube account, remembered your channel from my old account and subscribed hoping you would one day continue your Maxwell playthrough. It's cool you uploaded again.
do you think anyone will ever attempt to kill pre-nerf misery toadstool? i always thought it was a really cool challenge, but it'd require some serious cooperation among top dst players
Maybe it’s just me, but boss speed runs aren’t very interesting as challenges. Mostly they just require knowing the fight pattern and good hand- eye coordination, which are fine skills but yawn. Very predictable after a point. I prefer challenges that require deep knowledge of the game, creativity and resourcefulness, like Lights Out or no-crafting or no-kill runs or Joe’s run as Wes with bosses set on more and dietary restrictions, or setting up a ruins base in DS where he couldn’t go back to the surface. These are so much more fun to watch than just another boss fight, although I do like the prep parts of speed runs if the player has come up with inventive ways to quickly get the stuff they need.
"Challenges that require deep knowledge of the game, creativity and resourcefulness." Just my opinion but I find all three qualities displayed in each of these challenges. Puma was talking about starting practice fights with tons of resources then slowly take away from your starting inventory to see exactly what is needed and adjust your strategy accordingly. That seems incredibly resourceful and creative to me, but boss fights certainly aren't for everybody.
@@JazzysGames I don't deny that you have to be resourceful to prepare sufficiently for a boss fight on a speed run. It's just that the fight itself is totally predictable to watch and I usually click away from the video once it starts. Whereas the other types of challenge runs these players have devised and recorded are interesting from start to finish.

I can agree, the dragonfly is hard to replicate, you can make one mistake now, sucks
@@helicalpuma how long did you practice dragonfly for, for me i have been practicing for three months and finally did it, uploading video soon

And yet the Ancient Guardian can still get stuck. Those 2 things feel like mistakes to me. I'm loving all the new stuff though. Thanks Jazzy!
all we hope now is for Joeshmocoolstuff to come back and all the dst legends are complete..
Totally agree, Joe's Fuelweaver fight is the greatest dst speedrun of all time. I still watch it from time to time, cuase its just that awesome!
So happy to have you back and to have played with you, much love.
Thanks Manga! Was great playing with you too:D
Anytime I'll be in Jazzy's server if you want somebody to play with, or talk to xd
You are my favorite DS TH-camr pls continue with the playthroughs
Thanks. I'm editing stuff I recorded playing Wortox. Might take awhile though, since I'm not on break anymore.

I’m so happy the DST community is still alive
the fact you're still alive surprises me most
hope your holidays were epic!!

Yes!

Its patched moron and this video is about skill not cheese
Hey you're back its really nice to see you're making videos again.
I've seen all these speed runs before. Joe really is a fucking boss..you 2 were the reason I've become such a good player. Thank you guys for that.

I love your vids helicalpuma and im so relived you didnt stop or something, but i have to ask, whats your opinion of the celestial portal?

You are alive!
New Maxwell play through?
Can you make world challenges like light out but no with mods
Yes, some world challenges are presets built into the game that you can change on the settings screen.
i have a challenge for average players . start at autumn . you can only eat cooked rabbits . nothing else . its quite difficult
You sir, are a god
do you think anyone will ever attempt to kill pre-nerf misery toadstool? i always thought it was a really cool challenge, but it'd require some serious cooperation among top dst players
Keep it up! Im learning a lot with l
Your videos :)
If you enjoy trying these challenges... lol I still get nervous when deerclops shows up.
Hey, how do you do that your server isn't lagging while you have such a big base? Mine is way smaller and im lagging...
The problem might be with the pc if the lag is too much of a bother. I get lag too when I leave a lot of stuff lying around.
Hmm but its soo expensive to storage turf and so ez to just drop them on the floor
Yes, it helped. Thanks, i was worried i almost deleted that world...
Can you make a wx playthrough?
Or a base tour
Editing stuff I played with wortox, there should be a lot of going around my wortox base in that playthrough.

nice
I miss joe
hes not ded bru
Yes!
Is joe planing on coming back
I can only hope:D
