Barclay Crenshaw is Claude Von Strokes side bass project. It's weird wakaan style vibes and very hip hop. Kinda dope honestly. You should check it out. Yerrrrttttt
pretty lights is a huge deal. played forest back in the day 10 years ago. took a hiatus for a while to recover, just went back on tour. its my 7th forest this year and im only going for him at this point lol. finally moving-pretty lights
I remember seeing you at Forest one year and your gf was literally holding you up trying to walk & you looked out of it lol i yelled Festival Finneser and you still shouted back YERRRR 😂

Lol bro T-Pain at Forest was hilarious his pants kept falling down so he asked to have a fan throw their belt on stage to use for the rest of his set 😂
Umphreys McGee is a jam band one of favorites they are on the heavier side and they shred honestly I can’t recommend them enough. Lettuce is so groovy n funky and again they are a favorite of mine always a must see if u love funk music/jam Dumpstaphunk is a funk band from NOLA again who I love and have seen them Ivan and Ian Neville are musical legends in the city and I will always support them ( they opened for The Rolling Stones in NOLA) I know those artist are far from bass but I can’t recommend them enough hopefully we see them on your vlog but I doubt it lol
Luci is more than likely the Lucii u know, but she has evolved into a pop artist and dropped the extra "i". She has a much more pop and mainstream sound and stepped away from experimental and wubby dubstep that she broke onto the scene doing.
FF, been a long time fan. I get it, you like headbanger dubstep and riddim. You have been only listening to the same dubstep djs for like 7 years now. Obviously you like Excision. If youre considering going to EF and really NOT gonna see Pretty Lights because its not headbanger dubstep and just cast it off because it is "melodic and feelsy" then you would be doing yourself a massive injustice. You complain about events and djs not hitting the same yet ONLY see the same dubstep djs you have been seeing for years.. and never even check out other different artists. How are you gonna discover new artists when you literally never give them a chance lmao. Just because a DJ doesnt play riddim or dubstep in the first 5 minutes doesn't mean they aren't good. You can enjoy dubstep and riddim and STILL give other djs that aren't Clozee or Lsdream a chance.. if you actually gave artists like Pretty Lights or Barclay Crenshaw a chance you would discover even they play bass and dubstep.. but because they arent the 321 break your neck youll be leaving in a neckbrace formulaic drop after drop.. i know you will probably never give them the time of day lol. Again im a long time fan but the way you literally only go for the same handful of mainstream washed out EDM dubstep djs over and over rather than actually being open to discover new artists is kinda disappointing. Just my two cents.. that you can discover so many exciting new artists while also seeing ones that you are already familiar with, instead of ONLY seeing the same artists, play the same sets, with the same drops over and over like you really dont even kind of want to explore new sounds? Youre really not even slightly interested in checking out ESTABLISHED and TALENTED artists that arent just under Excision's wing? Seems like a bunch of wasted potential imo, but hey at the end of the day youre not even paying for a ticket so I can't fault you. I just think you always have the opportunity to discover new artists but instead of seeing someone new, rinsing new sounds, be that bass/house/techno/trance/breaks etc, you will always gravitate towards something you have ALREADY seen before.. I am not here to tell you how to do festivals I am only telling you that there is more to music than just headbanging. You can enjoy that and also discover new music and WHO KNOWS just because you haven't seen an artist at Lost Lands doesnt mean that you wont find a new artist you love and maybe even consider a favorite. Even if you have been to EF, going again JUST for Excision even tho you already see him 10+ times a year instead of wanting to find something new is wasted potential. Peace
Would you eat a food you didn’t like because everyone tells you it’s supposed to be good, knowing it’s not your preferred taste? After doing this for 10 years I’ve learned and now know what I like. I didn’t always like dubstep believe it or not. I came up off electro house. I’ve experimented and gone out of my comfort zone listening to all kinds of genres and seeing all kinds of sets. I’ve learned I like that crazy high energy music that gets the crowd moving. I can’t just go to a set to just watch and listen which is usually what I’ve experienced when I go to house or wubby set. But what always ends up happening is I go to these sets and say “I should have gone to the dubstep stage” because I know that’s where I would’ve had the most fun. Believe it or not I like other genres outside of dubstep but when it comes to live environments the energy of a dubstep show is unmatched compared to most genres and that’s the part I really love. Not the sonic and musical aspect. So with all this being said, I don’t appreciate you making me sound like I am a close minded individual who can’t give other genres a chance or respect. I have already given those artists a chance and continue to see artists outside my comfort zone to see if any interests have changed. Sometimes they do and I learn something new about myself but often I find myself looking for the heavy because that is what I enjoy. So that is what I’ll continue to do.
@@TheFestivalFinesser long story short just see Pretty Lights lmao. You can see your dubstep djs at pretty much any other event you will go to but PL sightings are rare and blowing everything else in the scene out of the water. This isn’t coming from a place of condescension this is coming from a place that wants you to give other types of dubstep artists a chance . You may be surprised what you discover
I can agree to some degree for sure festivals like shambhala and forest are the very few that I actually switch it up a bit but to be fair sometimes it doesn't workout I remember watching 40min of Odessa last year and really wanting to like it however I just did not :/ at the same time though I remember actually being blown away by cheese witch very much took me off guard lol
Im not happy about it. electric forest was founded grassroots and needs to stay grassroots. EF is the ONE fest that MUST be preserved apart from all others from becoming a CHADCITY. . . the ticket prices, the Mainstream side of things . . . absolutely unacceptable. . . having a ton of SMALL ARTISTS is what MADE IT A SPECIAL PLACE. . . its about the magic of the forest. . . will say though that im happy about pretty lights. 😶🌫
why do you call yourself the festival finesser if you don't know over half of the acts and misrepresent what they are like when you're going for this kind of video? Why did you not just research each artist even just a little bit, or better yet actually listen to most music and be familiar with mid to high level acts from each genre? You come off like you're reviewing lineups and festivals yet you're only here for bass music (and didn't know Barclay Crenshaw lol) I don't even like house music yet I know 80% of those artists on this lineup. I like your content overall and am subscribed, but this was hard to watch.
Barclay Crenshaw is Claude Von Strokes side bass project. It's weird wakaan style vibes and very hip hop. Kinda dope honestly. You should check it out. Yerrrrttttt
Last year I clocked in 143,000 steps at Electric Forest. Going from Sherwood Court to camp about 6-10 times a day was a marathon
Anyone else stoked to see 2 DnB artists on this lineup? Chase & Status and Dimension are legit
Whyte Fang is Alison Wonderland's weird and dark side project.
I’ve seen Hamdi at Wobbleween, he is the BEST at working a crowd and was probs my fav set night 2. He’s a legend in the making. Can’t miss it.
Bro says “I’m not ganna go” man I’ll see you there homie 😂
