    I love love love how you don't talk too much with a plain non-emotional tone of voice. Everything you say is concise, precise, efficient, and there's actual moments of silence during the practice when nothing needs to be said. You call it a butt instead of "sits bones" and don't talk to us like we're terrified 5 year olds. I'm so glad I found your channel!

    My husband has been telling me for years that he will practice yoga with me NEXT TIME! Today I found this! A man he can relate to, clear, easy to follow instructions and the challenge of 30 days. He is in, he sweated like a pig, and he is planning on day 2 tomorrow. That, my yogi friends, is what I call a win!

    Hi! I am further along in the course, but I wanted to leave a comment here in case it's helpful for people who are checking it out. This is the best 30-day yoga course I have tried on TH-cam (I've done several). Tim's approach is to give you a very similar sequence each time, which allows you to really get to know the postures and feel like you are making progress in them. His instructions are easy to follow, and he is aware of and addresses hamstring tightness, which not all yoga instructors take the time to do. His sequences also strike the right balance between challenging and simple, which is perfect if you use yoga to supplement other exercise practices like running or weight training.
    Side note to Tim - I misread your name as Tim Sensei every time. Tim-sensei!

    @yogawithtim Back in 2020, I was in the best shape of my life, and I began this 30 day challenge to get back to the basics and work out any kinks i hadn't worked on before. I found this series profoundly beneficial. Three and a half years later, I am in the worst shape of my life, recovering from illness and burnout and injuries. I am once again returning to this after three years. Boy was this first video a CHALLENGE. I wanted to quit almost at the beginning. And i decided, OK, I'll just skip this next step and I'll keep going and do what I can. I'm glad I didnt give it. I finished the video and feel amazing! Thank you so much!!!

    I've been following your yoga videos for sometime. This Day 1 video is excellent. Your instruction really helps to reinforce the correct posture. I've never known an instructor give such spot on direction. Thank you so much! My goal is to have quit smoking by the time I complete your 30 day course, which will actually be 60 days as I like to run every other day! Yes, I smoke AND run! Silly, I know!

      Quitting smoking was super easy after reading Allen Carr's easy way to stop smoking. It's less than 10 bucks on Amazon (2 packs of cigarettes). I've quit for more than a year. The yoga AND running will only become easier.

      Goodluck, on quitting the habit, Julie! It's so easy task but you can do it. If you would allow me to, I would like to give you a trick I used to help me quit almost 2 years ago.:)
      Right now you mind, when you think of smoking, is linking pleasure to the act. More pleasure than pain that is. An exercise that helped me was to sit down and just think of painful scenarios(no matter how outrageous) that smoking could make happen to you if you continued.
      For example: I imagined my whole family crying in a room and very sad because I was suffering from lung cancer and I was beyond the point of treatment, Just because I smoked one more cigarette.
      It may sound silly but it is very effective. And once you get in to is and continue to link pain towards the act of smoking, it will be easy as pie to cut the habit. After all, the only reason why you continue to smoke is because you are linking more pleasure than paint to the act of smoking. This will help you tip the scales.:) BEST OF LUCK! Namaste!

      I definitely agree with the gratitude for encouraging the correct posture and the spot on instruction. I've been doing yoga for years and feel like Tim's really helped me finally identify which muscle groups need to be activated during each pose rather than just going for "straight back".

    Today was my first day. Boy that was hard, I am heavy and do not work out at all so it was very hard but i loved it. I hope I can keep up with it. I am doing this to better my mental and physical health. :) see you tomorrow ♡

    WOW, you are really good. it felt like having a personal instructor in my living room. great teaching style. i really appreciate how you didn't chatter about silly things like the other videos. it was easy to keep up without having to stare at the screen. you described how to correctly position the body . Superb class, I feel invigorated !

    1st day of hunkering down. 1st day of yoga! Pretty good first experience. i am hoping by the end of the 30 days I will be much more flexible and be able to go outside!!

    Yoga is perfect for exercise and moving meditation while self-isolating, and Tim is good. I am still working, but so it might take longer than 30 days to do all 30 days, but here I go.

    I am not new to yoga but was having lower back pain today and tried your lower back stretch video and Day 1 of this 30 day program. My back feels so much more relaxed than it did 45 minutes ago.     Great! I'm an intermediate student and LOVE his style, guidance into postures, length of the poses and how this is filmed in a real house (not a studio with a white background). He also speaks while doing the movements (not dubbed in later) and really embodies the mind/body yoga philosophy. Plus his speaking voice is relaxing. I'm adding this series to my home practice on days I can't make it to yoga class.

    I am in recovery from severe emotional trauma and am looking for a way to take care of my body, mind, and spirit. I came across your challenge in looking for a way to start exercising that was gentle and also calmed my anxiety. I have tried a lot of yoga channels before, but you really convey such an amazing mix of calm and strength. I absolutely loved day one.
    Additionally, I have had a double mastectomy and my implants were placed underneath my pectoral muscles, which have made doing poses that engage my chest muscles almost impossible. Your instruction in about the proper way to turn my arms/armpits, actually allowed me, for the first time, to do so many poses that were impossible. Thanks you.

    Tim you probably don't check comments anymore, but I'm absolute beginner, and admittedly I struggled to get the correct form for a lot of these and had reset myself sometimes because it was too hard, but I tried my best till the end without hurting myself and I still feel great so gonna do this a couple of days till I'm complete comfortable thanks Tom

    I literally just wanted a "men's yoga video" so I searched on youtube and came across this. It is challenging and energizing and calming (my english teacher would have a field day with all the 'ands' I'm using) all at once. After my first video I found out there's a 30-day challenge. So thank you Tim! as 2017 has started and I have relocated to California from NYC I am trying some new things and will see the progression over the next 30 days. this is f*$king amazing! I highly recommend it... #yoga for #men & #women or #everyone

    Holy Hannah! Just found your channel. Long story short. I'm a powerlifter that is on a weight cut and ive been a stiff ball of muscle soreness for 20 years. This was my first yoga experience. I feel great! Gonna try to stick with this if not every day, at least every other day! Thank you!

    Really enjoy your videos Tim. I have done the 30 Day Challenge before and am currently starting it again. I have been practicing yoga for 17 years and usually do not turn to videos but I really like your channel. The way you move through the poses with ease is not only great for someone with experience but also new comers to this practice. You also have a calm soothing voice which for me, is very important. :) Thank you for sharing your love and expertise. Look forward to the next 30 day progression.

      If you are fit and able to do so, consider studying each pose a couple of times (including entrance, exit and breathing), hitting pause and slowly attempting it.
      It will come with time I am sure.

      @@peterlukats937 The poses themselves are okay, and it would be less of an issue in an live class, but I'm contorting to see the tv while following all the instructions, while trying to keep everything aligned, any vinyasa type things are the worst, it just takes me a minute to move. I've seen that same comment on so many vids from others, even vids supposedly for absolute beginner. Trying to grab remotes to pause with hands on the ground etc is a pain. That said, it's been a couple months now, perhaps I will try it again. I love his manner and the lack of fluff.

    I've never been into yoga and preferred sports like powerlifting HIIT etc. I finally come to a point in my life where I appreciate the slower paced recreational activities like yoga and to be honest, its because of your videos. thank you for being very clear with your guidance and not having a distracting video with music etc. Your movements also helped my lower back injury so thanks again!

    Hi, I have one question: when in child pose, how far apart the knees should be? Should the butt be sitting on floor or on calves?

      Depends on what you're getting after. Theres no set fuel, just on what the teacher is emphasizing in the class.

    For the non native english speakers I highly recommend openning the subtitle and transelate if there is a new words 👌I did it and I feel a big different comparing to my former positions

    Thankyou for the videos. Maybe pleeeease some progressions, ie, not everyone can do a full tree pose, first up, also with other poses, so some alternatives, as we go, Pluss more emphasis on the breath would help as well, ok thanks for the video.
