Thanks for the documentary. I love the idea of seeing black female and male sitting side-by-side! The good example!

THE RICH STAY RICH BY SPENDING LIKE THE POOR AND INVESTING WITHOUT STOPPING THEN THE POOR STAY POOR BY SPENDING LIKE THE RICH YET NOT INVESTING LIKE THE RICH.

I remember a man named Bob Law back in the 80's all he talked about on night radio was supporting businesses in our own communities; and how important it was to do so. He said that black people lost that desire, in their quest for integration. They thought it be best if we just did business with everybody other than blacks. Well low and behold, as we were waking up to what we had been doing wrong. Next thing we knew; the Koreans, and Arabs had taken over every business in our community. I wondered how did that happen so fast.

It's not that black people lost that desire. It's that successful black businesses in black owned burroughs and cities were severely attacked and obliterated by white supremacists throughout US History during that time period pre-integration. The infamous Black Wall Street massacre in Tulsa and many others (Rosewood). That has scarred and imprinted a trauma to a whole generation that has been punished for being business-driven independant from white federal states and it takes a whole generation to rebuild what was destroyed, physically and mentally. Only black investments companies and black owned banks will turn the tide to help develop african-american businesses because african-americans are notoriously discriminated regarding loans.

This is really a great and effective way to introduce a great opportunity to all, placing its value within the socioeconomic and historical context of the African American experience. Great job Dr. and Ms. Cooper. Thank you for sharing.

Ok, I'm inspired! I will be going through all 21 days...It's a ton of information to process and learn as I'm embarrassed to say I didn't know. I had always "dreamed" of owning my own business and listening to these stories is making me understand that my hold up is me!!!

An excellent documentary! So much economic progress was lost by integration. Black people have accomplished great things in business and are not a lazy unambitious people.
