Cool, did not expect to see this on Hagerty. Ireland has a mad drift and rallying scene...in a country that does everything it can to make owning nice cars difficult.
@@paddymuppyhave you seen what new cars cost here? Pretty much double the cost of anything in the US and it's entirely due to taxes. Then annual motor taxes are off the chart. A new M3 should not cost the equivalent of $168k...and then €2450/$2600 annually to tax. And then €2 per lite/$8.10 per gallon to fuel it...
@@MD-uu5ntfor Ireland it seems reasonable. Lots of South American countries have it way worse, some of them have a corolla or a civic for that price...
I'm a muscle/classic car guy in the U.S., but I love the car community world wide. Muscle, drift, tuner, low rider, off road... there's a common appreciation for enjoying life, creativity, and competition. The positives in car culture far outweigh the negatives which brings a unity that is so difficult to find in society these days. Well done Hagerty for sharing/promoting it all and great job Drift Games! Congrats on the new space and the success!
My cousin in law is the reason I even know about Hagerty.(he works for their insurance as a customer service rep.) & now I’ve discovered a hidden gold mine of Larry Chen content and all of their videos are so top tier that feel spoiled while swimming in a sea full of amazing car and motor sports content. 10/10
👌 Love it. That podcast van is such a good idea, and the meat processing turned car washing grates is maybe accidentally brilliant. So much creativity.
If you like this you will LOVE the Classic Remise in Berlin or Düsseldorf! Those are two car culture business parks, too, but much much much much bigger! And located in late 18th century architecture.
Funny thing is in the middle of no where, in a garage with no real security there about 12 jdm classic cars from supra to, skyline and loads of Sr e35 toyota. I travel Ireland for work and even found old toyota starlets 1998 in behind a old shed and it's mint just took of the road before covid. Best one I've seen is old escorts that's been paint and stripped but forgot 😢
I've would want to see a Larry do a trip to Sweden not just because me being swedish but more it being about both youth car culture and the our domestic car industry
The thing with Irish drifting is, we get a massive change in weather on the daily. So, if you can’t adapt and adjust accordingly to those conditions, you’re fucked, pretty much. Remember when the WRC came to Ireland first in 2008? Watch the interview with Sebastian Loeb about his experience. It was the same year they changed the laws around the the choice. Seb was on Molls Gap and at the end of it he was like, “this is crazy, no one can do this!” If you’re constantly driving on surfaces that changes from minute to minute, you learn things that most people don’t get a chance to ever even experience. There’s a reason the Fins are called the “flying Funs!” They pretty much only drive in snow. Imagine putting that skill into driving on a solid surface! What and episode Larry, you’ve made this Irishman very happy. I appreciate you brother.
@@JD-eo7dr Aye they seem to be trying to get WRC back. What I heard was lads in MK2s outpaced the WRC teams by quite a bit on tarmac, not a good look for the big boys.
Larry is bringing the fire hagerty was lacking. Old dudes are losing their licenses it’s time to cater to a younger crowd. Long live model As and 57 chevys but we’ve seen enough of them to last ten lifetimes
RIP beautiful drift games garage

Maybe that's why the passion is greater and sought after even more.....like Singapore or Indonesia etc.
Human nature....
How do they make it difficult?

Exciting stuff, thank you Hagerty. You must have came home 😂
Such a huge lose to the Irish car scene to have this all lost to a fire.. Gutted for the lads
Great venue! Hope it’s a great success
What a FUN video!!
Shout out to the three rotor swap in the corvette lol usually it's LS swap the world so it's funny to see it the other way around.
That RX7 sounds like it was up all night eating beans and sat on a whoopee cushion.
I really like this 🌼😄
Dang they made a video about this nearly 3 months ago, yet hes saying they just finished it is this video that far behind? Still so awesome to see

This series is fantastic. but sometimes it is too focused on very expensive spaces.
What was the square footage of the building???
hehe carbucks. that was the highlight of the vid....
The vet needs lexan fender covers lol😂
That's actually a really good idea for wet weather driving.
my only dream is to have a jdm car😌
Drifting in the rain.... Neat 😐

WRC drivers struggle but Irish lads ripping down the lanes in 300hp MK2 escorts on the limit 👌

Just need a traffic 🚦 😂
rip hq
I didn't know that they have cars in Ireland
You mean drift cars!? Careful bro they have lots of strong men out there lol
Ireland is probably the strongest drifting nation in the world per head of population...
that side-by-side drifting is way too close for comfort, those insane drivers!
🤣bro the first few seconds of the video, it's too much
It took me solid 5 minutes to realize that it does not read "Starbucks". It says "Carbucks"... 😂😁🤟
:)
Insightful and informative 🤌🏽
