Great Bassline by Keith Richards. Exactly sounds like a bassline a guitar player would write.
Kind of like Old Brown Shoe by the Beatles which features George Harrison on bass
Well done few people recognise this is Keith on bass
Even fewer recognise this is the bedrock of Happy Mondays and Stone Roses groove

Love and respect to Bill but every time a Stones bass line really knocks me out, it always turns out to be done by Keith, Mick Taylor, or Woody.

not easy to play by any stretch of the imagination, this is an iconic bass line..
I can play it ok-just not so fast without screwing it up!
Fantastic bass line from probably my fave Stones track ever not surprised it was from Keith Richards, an absolute monster musician and, by all accounts a great guy and fantastic Dad!
The notes aren’t technically hard it’s just the speed at which they’re played can be tricky to get down
I appreciate Keith’s bass lines. I really enjoyed his bass rendition of Yer Blues! Anyone like the bass line to Dancin’ with Mr. D? Solid bass line by Mick Taylor. Now that would be a good cover!

Whenever I try to learn to use the pick, I end up throwing it out the window. I just can’t do it and prefer fingers.
Fingers are definitely easier, but getting that plucky tone is difficult without a pick. It's worth learning the skill.
@@infernalsquid Right. I should take a month and just practice picking, but I know that won’t last. Besides, I only play for myself, not gonna play with a band or with others.
Hi there, great playing, but the standard notation needs to be a bit clearer. See bar 20 for an example. You don't indicate where the 3rd beat is - your beaming goes across the beat, and this makes it unclear, especially for sight reading. No downvote from me, just wanted to get in touch.
it’s a free tab and you can see exactly where his fingers fret, it’s pretty clear
@@tylermartinez2929 the standard notation itself is frequently not correct rhythmically...for example throughout there are eighth note + 16th note + eighth note figures = 1 beat and that doesn't work without a 16th note rest or a dotted eighth note in there somewhere ...and he could have save himself some courtesy accidentals by writing it out in E
