- The Wellesley Fire Department rescued a person and their dog after both fell through the ice at Lake Waban on Wellesley College on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 445 PM. Both human and dog are okay after being evaluated at the hospital and a vet clinic. Video was captured from a Wellesley Police UAV/Drone that was supporting the rescue efforts.
