    So if buying your first board for wingding, would you get a Fanatic Skysup or the Hipe?

      I’d get the HIPE - more volume in a shorter package. And the HIPE is incredible value for money

      I had to hide the camera in my truck as it was windy - so it is what it is 👍

    Nice review, I'm 92kg, what size of wing do you recommend to start? I'm a kitesurfer, windsurfer i do sup also (can you supfoil with a 5,5?).thks!!

      Hi - I’m 90kg so very similar. In terms of foil wing to start, you need something 2000cm.. you can go bigger, but I don’t think you need to. Bigger wings like 2400cm are really slow. I’m terms of SUP, short boards might have the volume... at least 120ltrs for you and me... but that much volume in a short board makes it very ‘corky’ and bloody had to paddle! My sup foil board is 6.5 and goes great. Any combo foil and wing board is a huge compromise I’m afraid

    Hey Mark, thinking to buy myself a Hipe. Can’t decide 5.5 or 6.0. I’m 110kg and 190cm. At this time I’m on a shinn Nubo rigid 125l. Regards

      Hi - how good are you? If still a novice beginner, maybe 6.0. If you can fly consistently, 5.5. It still has a lot of volume as it’s so thick 👍

      @@foilsleeve8906 thanks. Yes I fly. I use a shinn 1950. Hope I can use these together

    Do you prefer the inflatable or hard board style. What do you think about the new Starboard Wingboard? Not having a back foot strap doesn't bother you? Thanks. Enjoy your videos.

    Have you already tried supfoiling it? Would like to hear opinions, how hard is to sup it with such a short length?

    • @foilsleeve8906
      @foilsleeve8906  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi - yup, I’ve sup foiled it. Take the foot straps off. Easy to stand on, stable, but It’s a pretty tough paddle... very hard to get real board speed. I ended up using white water to get me into the wave. My 6.7 is much more fun for sup foil as it’s less work. Might be better to prone foul the HiPE 👍

    What do you think about now after a year on it? Still pumped on it? (pun wasn't intended, but now it is)

      Hi there. Things move fast and I’m now riding a 5.0 70ltr fanatic sky wing. I think inflatables are great if you need to travel... but they are simply not as good as hard boards due to the lack of nose rocker and rails. When inflatables touch down, they stick! Great for convenience, but not performance

      @@foilsleeve8906 Thanks for the reply! How has the board held up? Is it falling apart or is it still in decent shape (how many sessions do you think you have on it?)?
