Though I stan her from the moment she debuted (actually way before that, during SMRookies era), now I truly understand why Kim Gura repeatedly claimed that Seulgi is SM'S hidden weapon.
Seulgi has one of the most distinctive voices in kpop. When you hear that sweet tone, you know it's her right away. Her voice just has that warm honey-like quality to it. Like she embraces every word that comes out of her mouth. It's no wonder other artists always want to do a collaboration with her. Her voice just complements and matches well with any voice.
I sometimes think of how crazily scary Seulgi is, she is very very talented. If RV doesn't have Wendy (which I can't even imagine, Seungwan's my bias), she would be both their main dancer and vocalist. Like seriously, in a powerhouse like RV. Versatility at its finest.
Yeahhh she is the only female idol that I stan so hard. I'm more into the male groups naturally :) but Seulgi and RV are my exceptions. The craziest thing about them is that each member shines in their own voice.
I agree that she could be the main vocalist but I dont think she would be with a SM group. SM’s standard for main vocalist are very high and they are usually go for the belter type. This is just my assumption since Seulgi trained for 7 years while Wendy only trained for 2 years. They were waiting for a main vocal material.
