    What a life! This gentleman gave us a reason to "live". I used to blast my music in the car and make a fool of myself - got stopped by a cop in Las Vegas with a "warning"
    I did, however, teach him to dance - we had lots of fun and he went and got himself married!! :)

    Michael Jackson was and still is the best mega superstar to walk on this earth. He was a perfectionist. He is dearly missed but his music will live on forever. He was very talented at a young age and became a big success as he became older. Legends never die, they live within our hearts for a lifetime. There will never be another one like MJ, I thank the Lord that I saw him in concert more then once, he was a he'll of a performer, untouched in the music industry.

I had a big living room, I rolled up the carpet and would spend an hour or two disco boogieing in my roller skates.. People probably looked in the window and thought I was insane.. Great music makes me feel so ALIVE.. the rest of it, is just the space between when I get to hear LOUD GREAT music... MJ made more hits, than any one performer.. I miss him so much..

    That shit was jammin like a mugg homie. I was 5/6 years old when Off The Wall came out & I'd perform every song on this masterpiece. I couldn't just listen. Its just the Magical Spirit that is Michael Joseph Jackson. You hear that unique, never heard anything even similar, angelic voice over any of his dance hits & his spirit hits you. & when it hits you, you not only can't sit still & must move. You abandon your natural movement & move like him. Mannerisms & all. I don't give a fuck what nobody says. Michael Jackson was special cuzz!!! Even his genius was different from the other handful of modern day musical geniuses. He was on a different level. So much that it was too much. For he & Prince both. But he did what he was sent here to do. They both were. But Michael in particular had a level of fame & success that was 2nd to none & he wasn't sent here for none of that bullshit the jealous, evil & racist media is doing to his legacy. That's why he isn't in this world anymore, whether he was murdered or otherwise, I think he was ready. He's on the other side, on a different plain & in a better place now. As there's an entire Universe out there that we are directly connected to, where the flesh restricts us from. We all have a spiritual connection to everything in existence. We are not only limited to this Earth.

      Não, isso é injustiça. Ele foi um grande artista pop no gênero dele, mas não é o melhor cantor do mundo. Há inúmeros talentos vocais tão bons quanto ele. Ele se popularizou como artista pop até alcançar o status de rei do pop. Até mesmo o moonwalker não foi criação dele, mas daqueles que o precederam. Michael Jackson era fã de James Brown e lhe copiava os passos. O vocalista da banda Shalamar, Jeffrey Daniels, também o influenciou na dança. Amo o MJ, mas não quero ser injusto com os demais.

      @@johnnyraven7980 At the time (and to an extent, still the case today), the 7" (also known as 45's) was the edited version for radio (Top 40, R&B/Urban, etc), while the 12" was for the clubs and for parties (in most cases a dance/Disco version along with an extended remix; some may also include instrumentals and/or acapella versions as well).

    • @DJDiscoCat
      @DJDiscoCat  6 ปีที่แล้ว +34

      @@johnnyraven7980 When a song is recorded for an album, is usually is cut down for radio airplay, shorter songs means more songs per hour on the radio. If a song had a good beat, then a remixer would take the song and extend it to create a disco version which became popular to put them on 12" vinyl. At the time, the quality of the vinyl on 7" singles was ok, some were pressed on styrene which was even less quality. The size of the 7" was a problem as the grooves have to be really close together to fit on the record. Since there is more surface on the 12" the song could be longer and because there was more space between the grooves the mastering editor could increase the dynamic range thus the improved sound quality that bounces out of the speakers. I hope this helps!

    I remember when this guy came out with Thriller. I thought we were going to lose our minds with MJ after Billie Jean. It was 1983. I was in junior high. The music was good. Life was good. It was much a happier time than now. He's long gone. The world is a much darker and scarier place now. He had his demons (don't we all) but I still don't believe the nasty stories they tell about him. Media propaganda! He had musical genius. Extremely rare talent. Such gifts come only from God. He was the last of the greats. No one else has come to his record. RIP, MJ. You were truly one of a kind.
