JUST A QUICK CORRECTION... It turns out there is some sort of bug that is causing players not to progress and the fix that I saw was to play a round of Arena, verify the game files and then load of EFT. This however did not work for ME personally, it fixed itself once my Arena level overtook my PMC level...

Yeah and inflated prices can motivate people to move to loot areas and loot up if they want to flip hideout items, good point. I don't think we have to worry as much in that area. However I am still worried that the rewards in arena could discourage people to try and make money from the maps because for a lot of people 1.5m a day is fine with them and they won't see the point in looting anymore. Another thing that kind of worries me is that if this wipe really is too easy, people might get bored sooner than we think and the wipes dead within 2 months. But honestly people are getting bored faster than usual with Tarkov anyway, so again this could just be an oversight. But like I said, it is way too early to tell. This is completely new for everyone.
So the sync was a glitch. I just did my first game of arena ever and my guy was lvl 8 just like my tarkov PMC. TLDR it does sync right away, if it doesn't it's broken

On day one of wipe after 2 hours when I was level 9 and was only running into people level 15+ with crazy kits, I uninstalled. Arena progression for Tarkov killed the game for me. Gear in Tarkov already felt worthless to the point that I don't even loot my kills 3 weeks/1 month into wipe because everyone is running the same meta gear and it's so easily accessible, and it's so easy to make money, and then with Arena this just made the game worthless. Why would I play Tarkov when I can play Arena to level faster without the risk of losing kits? Game design that disincentivizes you to play the game is really dumb game design. After the whole Unheard BS I was pretty much already done anyways. After 10 wipes it is kind of amazing to me how BSG never fails to beat new records on their dumbest decisions. I'll always remember the golden era of Tarkov though. It was an experience no other game has ever provided.
I wish we had gotten this game instead, br's and their variations just aren't fun to me and i had played BSG's previous shooter for years. I just prefer "regular" shooters like COD, BF, and Titanfall for example.
I was like you for a while and was hesitant to play EFT because it wasn't what I was used to. And it gave me an experience no other game has ever given me. I put 3000 hours into EFT now and it's one of my most played games. I joined in on the best wipe the game ever had too, so that really helped :D
