1:09:55 Good day! Thank you ever so much for the fantastic board game and this podcast! In the game Earthborne Rangers, the setting is steeped in science fiction. The events take place in a distant future. One can imagine that by then, these elements might be quite real. There's just one question regarding mediums and communication with spirits. How can this be integrated into the sci-fi atmosphere of the Earthborne Rangers world? I would greatly appreciate it if you could comment on the integration of mediums and spirits and provide more information on the topic in the context of a sci-fi setting.
I tried to get back into MtG (after not playing since the 90's) during the Forgotten Realms release and picked up physical, but started playing digital to practice. After playing digitally for a few weeks, I went to my flgs to play in person for the first time, and I didn't enjoy the experience because I was used to how fast pace the digital game made it feel, plus all the +1 counters were handled for me, and I didn't forget things as much. In Earthborne Rangers, my table forgets "5. Resolve Challenge Effects" and we may miss a card or two, and I would love automation around that in an app. Another good thing with digital is highlighting cards that you can perform an action with. My first two games of EBR, I rested too early because I forgot that I could interact with things up the trail.
The Pro's for a video game could be, Easy to push new content fast, for the player base it's easier to play with friends long distance, or more often cause you could squize in a few late night hours playing from the couch. player created content, easy to find new groups tp play with, you can add sound FX to the game or animations, there can be online events, player data to be analyzed.
Happy Birthday you two!!
nice
I could see an EBR video game being kinda like the Oregon trail but like way updated
