I think a big part of why Howling hits that MJ's Thriller synapse in the brain is, 1. the howls mixed with synths, and 2. the snip they put in has the line "it's close to midnight" which is exactly what Thriller starts with btw that's gotta be Maya narrating Space Meeting, I know that tone anywhere or I don't deserve to call her my ult 😊 and grl ok listen, dw I spoil myself every single comeback and I haven't once regretted it...well, not after the fact, anyway
