man if pirates had offense this team would actually be really good. Jared Jones, Paul Skenes, Mitch Keller, and Falter are a great young pitching staff. They could build their own version of what the mets had with Degrom, Harvey, Syndergaard and steven matts

One big bat in the 3 hole could change everything. The bullpen would still be an issue tho, even with Bednar seeming to come back to form.

Things are coming full circle for these teams going back to the first ever Wild Card game. The pitching staffs are dominant again; both teams just missing hitting.

Good game and some really good pitching on both sides. When your relievers come in and don't allow runs, you can win these close games.

They need to fire all the hitting coaches
The Reds can't hit. Everyone makes a big deal of De La Cruz. He is approaching 100 strikeouts already on the season. Your speed does you no good then. Hitting coaches? The Reds just don't fire any coaches or even the manager during the season. They act like everything is going just fine and based on their performances in recent years they are likely thrilled with where they are now.
Tellez should be benched for at least a week. Thinking he hit a homerun and just walked towards 1st base. That just shows he has no care in the world. Very lazy

@TurnOffYourTV if not for the above context I'd think you were talking about my Pittsburgh Pirates. It's a shame what's happened to these two franchises. When Pittsburgh was out last year, I was hoping the Reds could pull out a playoff spot.
@@The_Pennsylvanian the reds actually do have a bunch of young talent but too much of their team is injured, they probably won’t make the playoffs this year but we’re up in coming for years to come

Yes you can, just not on an infield fly ruling, which requires 2 runners to be on base.

@@alexhodas5045 you can't try to catch it and intentionally drop it. you can let a fly ball drop though. Teams do it all the time when the batter doesn't hustle. I think it happened to the Reds last year actually w/ Benson as well lol.
Yes, the Bucs are 2 games under .500 but only 0.5 games back in the wild card race. We are still in it!
I like your enthusiasm but this Pirates team has no offense so they go up against better teams with much better pitching all they need is one run. Nutting isn't going to allow for moves to better this team.

My all favorite two pitchers would be Aroldis Chapman I wouldn't pick any other pitcher I don't care how angry he gets and frustrated he gets. Amir Garrett another pitcher who has a strong hand but needs to control and compose himself to improve he struggles but if he stays calm and doesn't fight he's all good 👍
