  • In Part 4 of my Electric go-Kart build, in a bid to not harm myself, I change the motor to a 3000w Votol motor kit I got from Amazon. I also change the wheels and lower the seating position. Do you think I should be done with this project yet?

    Hello, Oh! Very impressive! Your service is top notch, World record holder for most fuel efficient mini motorbike! I always like it.

    Hey, looking for longevity of the motor, size up the ventilation holes.

    Wow! Very impressive! Next, bigger cart, fiberglass body, roll cage, 30 kW motor . . . (maybe not). Looking forward to follow-on videos! Try a forstner drill bit for cleaner holes. West System epoxy comes with proportional pumps in each can. Pump same number of times for resin and hardener for perfect ratio.

      Next cart will be more Cyclekart style. With 17in motorcycle wheels. I do have the pumps. But I didn't want to get them out and get them gooey again for a small project!

      My pumps stay in the cans and continue working well even after a couple of years without any use. No gooey. I'll have to look up cyclekart. @@SkippyRockGame

      I had these leftover from a paddleboard I built last summer and with no looming projects I took apart the pumps and cleaned them well. I just need to get them back out. I'll need to for the cycle kart. I'll likely build the body form cedar strips, kayak style!

      This series was my first go at building a go kart from scratch, and yeah. I just based the size around me. So I could kit but it was still small.

      I use Motenergy motors exclusively on my large kart. I know some people like QS Motors for lower power applications, but I've no experience with them personally. @@SkippyRockGame

      I'm going back with the original motor. Going to try it out with the street tires and the lower seat position. The other motor was disappointing. Maybe I'll make a small kart for my kids with it.

      @EpsilonZeroKarts ปีที่แล้ว +1

      FYI, motors are not supposed to smoke. If that was winding varnish, you might as well toss it now. @@SkippyRockGame
