    Mr. Jones, thank you for your help. I contacted you the other day as I was having trouble with the adjusting of rings per wind. I was able to correct what I was doing wrong thanks to you. I just had my first 6 game win streak, 4 games going to shoot outs. The shoot outs had been my downfall. Thank you for all you do, it is appreciated very much. Keep up the good work.

    Zach, I finally understand why I have hit perfect shots with solid ring adjustments and been amazingly off. I was perplexed, thank you for taking the time to put this together. Brilliant explanation!

    I'm not trying to nitpick or anything. You said "For all intensive purposes", which is what I said for years until just recently when I found it's actually "for all intents and purposes". Just thought I'd share that tidbit of info with you and, if you don't give a damn, just ignore this message.
    PS. Thanks for the wind explanation. The friggin wind was driving me nuts because I had no idea the accuracy was related to wind! Thanks so much for the help!

    Hi Zach. Could I ask how your "visualizing" the 5 rings your moving at about 26:10 or so? YOu say, here's 5, and there's 5, and here's 2 for a twelve mph wing. I completely understand what your saying, however, I don't understand what marker your using to moving the rings upward? Adjusting and using the "take shot" I understand. but you have nothing to annotate what is 5 rings. Are you just looking at the outside up the upper white ring and moving the bullseye to that point? How do you not loose the mark when you move the bullseye? I mean, as soon as I move the bullseye I can't quite see where the outside of the white ring was. Is there a trick to this?
    Love your video's btw. very informative.

    I am having trouble with how far the ball is pulled back when the wind is a tailwind or headwind. Example I have a 6 MPH headwind, and I adjust my target per my club level. Being I have a 6 MPH headwind wouldn’t I pull the ball back more than the center of the circle? Need help! Thank you.

    HI Mr. Jones , am still having problems understanding your video on numbers ..when you start calling out numbers what are you referring to ...is it wind speed ? My downfall is always North/South, I am over or short all the time, I either fly over the hole or am too short. I dont get this part. Can you explain please.

    How does wind adjustment work with wind that's coming towards you at an angle at sort of 7 to 9 mph on approach to pins?

  • @mikeappelhans7683
    @mikeappelhans7683 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Firstly, thank you for taking time to teach! When I use the formula 3-A/50 to calculate the wind/ring, I'm not getting the same results as listed in some of the wind tables that are published out there (Golf Clash Notebook, Golf Clash University Calculator). For example: Hornet 3 has an accuracy of 91, so it's rings per wind should be 0.85 (or wind per ring = 3-91/50=1.18). For a 4 mph wind, that is 3.4 rings of adjustment. However, Golf Clash Notebook and Golf Clash University Calculator report 3.1-3.2. That's not a huge discrepancy, but as the wind increases, so does the discrepancy. For winds of 8-10, the formula predicts about 0.5 rings MORE than the tables. I'm really curious to why this is; do you have any insight?

    Thank you sooo much Zach! It's like you read my mind! I have a little bit of a better understanding but I still have a hard time moving the rings. I know I will need to play and practice more. But can you help us or me with slowly moving the rings and counting them. I hope this make sense haha

  • @NiklasMalmqvist
    @NiklasMalmqvist 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Im having a hard time making any sense of this wind, ring adjustments. If I understand it right.....If you have a 5 mph wind, and you use a club with 100% accuracy, then you adjust 5 rings, and If you have a club with only 50% accuracy, then you adjust 2,5 rings......is this correct? And If so.....shouldn't it be the other way around? Why should you have to adjust MORE with a club that is more accurate then with a less accurate club?

    • @zrjones1984
      @zrjones1984  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Niklas Malmqvist because the target becomes twice as large when accuracy is halved. But what you said about 5 rings for 100 acc and 2.5 rings for 50 acc is correct

  • @iowabowtech1
    @iowabowtech1 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Zach, what are you using to determine how many rings you've moved? I see some use the take shot button as a reference point but it doesn't seem like you are doing that. Are you just focusing on the original spot and moving based on your original point of focus?

    • @zrjones1984
      @zrjones1984  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Zac thanks for video, very informative... Question lets use a 50% accuracy for discussion. So across the board the rings go 2,4,6,8,10, now is there any range within the color bands themselves? So the Red band is 4 but within that red band does the speed change from 4-6 meaning that right in the middle would be basically 5 and if you landed right where the red/yellow meet that would be 4 but where the red blue meet its going to be 6 or is that 4 all thru the band, so anywhere in the red will be 4 and jumps to 6 if you land anywhere in the blue? Just because as the accuracy changes the band sizes change as well, so if there was a 5mph wind setting up right in the middle of the red would balance out even though its 4mph.
    If you had a 10mph wind and had a 100% accuracy you would set up twice the diameter of the white outer band if that band is technically 5? Thanks Bill

    • @zrjones1984
      @zrjones1984  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bill Rycraft it works gradually. As you go more into the ring, the more the wind adjusts. In your case half way in between 4 and 6 would be 5 so you would move 2.5 rings. If your wind was 4.5 then you would try to estimate where 2.25 rings would be or 2 and a quarter rings. This is where the zoom in feature helps and you want to pinch the screen to zoom as far in as possible before starting to move rings.

    Hi Zac, I am a subscriber and had a question. Found this site for club specs golfclashnotebook.io/clubs/ This seems to clash some with the chart of 100% = 1mph 50% = 2.0. For instance I have a Machete level 9 that has 94% accuracy, but according to their wind guide they have it as 2.02 per ring, which is far different then 1.1mph on your chart MY Sand Lizard (8) also has a 97% accuracy but has a 1.91 mph ring. Everything else on their chart seems accurate for instance my Sniper (8) has 100% accuracy and they list it as 1.0 which is the same on the chart you show and it seems accurate on, back spin, curl etc and lays it out for each level 1-10. Is this wrong?? and regardless of club, the accuracy basically changes .1mph per every 5% change in accuracy? So EVERY club that has a 95% accuracy would be 1.1 and my Sand Lizard for instance would actually be 1.1 and NOT 1.91 according to that other website... Thanks for the awesome videos.

    • @zrjones1984
      @zrjones1984  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bill Rycraft use their numbers. They are pretty accurate. Dont worry about the accuracy on rough iron or sandwedge in terms of playing usual rings. Its not going to give you accurate results if you do. Better to just go with the accepted values that we have been trying to figure out for awhile now.

    • @RushWorkingMan
      @RushWorkingMan 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      When you say use THEIR numbers, They are pretty accurate, the 100% = 1.0 50%= 2.0 etc or the wind chart from the website I linked, as I am confused on "its NOT going to give you accurate results". Because for instance I have the Nirvana (5) and the normal scale at 97% would put the wind chart around 1.1 mph but glofclashnetwork has 1.91 per ring which is a big difference. Thanks Bill

    • @zrjones1984
      @zrjones1984  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bill Rycraft just use the notebook accepted numbers. Dont worry about the rest

    Maybe I’m thick, prolly am, but I’m still unclear as to the actual implementation of the data. The actual mechanics. How does one use the min/mid/max numbers once you have the correct number. I saw you moving the target around, but you glossed over the math! So, if wind is x.x and my clubs accuracy is y, then what? That’s the part that was glossed over and that’s the most important part!

      Hey Zach,
      I figured out where I was off.
      I did have my Saturn at 2 - 2.25 - 2.5,,
      But I also had my Thorn at those same calculatons.
      So now I have my Thorn at 1.9 - 2.8 - 3.7.
      Thanks man, just in time for Tournament, and I plan on having to be pretty accurate with the thorn on a couple of those holes.

    Hello Zachary.
    This is Jeff morder I am one of your subscribers I would like to know if you could go into a little bit more depth With the Wind guide and how to place the Rings and preference to the wind direction and how far that wind direction is pushing I am currently watching your wind guide and I don't know if I'm not getting it or if I'm not understanding it but I would appreciate it if you could help me out a little bit more on the Wind guide currently I have made it believe it or not up to tour 8.
    I am somewhat decent on tour 8 I'm a little better on tour 7 and I just started using your Club guide for tour 7 so if you could help me out with a little bit more on the wind guide and the ring placement I would appreciate it thank you..
