I had the pleasure of meeting Leon in Mexico when I went out with Deji as one of his sparring partners. I saw the hunger and determination that Gibb showed for his fight. Let me tell you about Deji. He’s not cut out for boxing. All he cared about was getting a six pack. He would give up in sparring and blame his leg or back aches. He’d turn up for training at 10pm. He’d never want to run. Most importantly he hasn’t got the heart for this sport. That’s not shade at Deji.. that’s just the way he is. He’s too lazy and hasn’t got the winners mentality. End of story.
In all honesty, it doesn't feel like Deji is fighting for the sake of becoming a good boxer / fighter. I think it's fairly obvious that he's only trying to do all this so people respect him in the same way as his brother. Which is an issue because he isn't boxing for himself or because he loves the sport. I think that's also been made clear by how he always tries to do the minimalistic amount of work as possible.

He literally was saying that’s the wrong decision… that he believed Temperr won 4-1 also, ofc the UK scene gonna be vocal for a fighter of their own..but for me, everywhere on Twitter was UK people saying they’re Kennyfans but he shouldn’t have won. This wasn’t even rigged, we came to find out the judges were under terrible conditions and had to be escorted out by security. Hold it to no one but the commission.

This was Deji's 3rd fight and he has been involved with boxing for quite a time now, but his performance against Wassabi was trash to be honest, Wassabi was outperforming him at every point of the fight. Deji has been on the big stages 3 times now, this was Wassabi's first time on the big stage, and yet Wassabi completely dominated Deji throughout the fight. Huge respect for Wassabi for his performance. In JJ's video, JJ rightfully criticized Deji of asking the fans right away after the fight whether he should continue boxing, like c'mon man, what the heck, you lost your 3rd fight and you yourself said that you won't box again if you lose, and right away after losing the fight you're asking the fans whether you should fight again or not, this is not the fans' decision to make, it's yours. The thing is Deji has a strong fanbase and his fanbase will always support him even if Deji loses his next 10 fights. This type of wrong support by fans is what's causing Deji to be in his comfort zone and not taking boxing seriously, resulting in losing all of his fights.
The reason KSI said Deja looked good when they sparred is because Deji has that competitive drive against his brother. Deji probably has a lot of built up anger towards his brother (based on their past) so he took a hit and wanted to give it back. Leon is 100% right that Deji is not afraid of losing. This was Deji's 3rd fight and he has been involved with boxing for quite a time now, but his performance against Wassabi was trash to be honest, Wassabi was outperforming him at every point of the fight. Deji has been on the big stages 3 times now, this was Wassabi's first time on the big stage, and yet Wassabi completely dominated Deji throughout the fight. Huge respect for Wassabi for his performance. In JJ's video, JJ rightfully criticized Deji of asking the fans right away after the fight whether he should continue boxing, like c'mon man, what the heck, you lost your 3rd fight and you yourself said that you won't box again if you lose, and right away after losing the fight you're asking the fans whether you should fight again or not, this is not the fans' decision to make, it's yours. The thing is Deji has a strong fanbase and his fanbase will always support him even if Deji loses his next 10 fights. This type of wrong support by fans is what's causing Deji to be in his comfort zone and not taking boxing seriously, resulting in losing all of his fights.
The reason KSI said Deja looked good when they sparred is because Deji has that competitive drive against his brother. Deji probably has a lot of built up anger towards his brother (based on their past) so he took a hit and wanted to give it back. Deji needs to be angry at the next person he fights to spark that side of him. He won’t beat anyone he doesn’t have some form of aggression against
