ES is a legendary set that will make history, and in 10 years people will want to own sealed ES not to open but to just say "hey I have sealed ES in my collection" etbs packs, booster boxes ANYTHING ES will be sky high.
Past 2 years a sport card shop i know hs sold out of evolving skies single packs from booster boxes at 20 a piece

I have been going to wallgreens cuz they have tins with mimikyu snorlax and darkrai on them and they contain a pack of Evo Skies you should see if there are any at your local wallgreens if you want more single packs that come from tins!

My girlfriend and I went heavy on this set when it came out. We now have 1 sealed Evolving Skies booster box,a few Pokemon Center ETBs and a box of hanger packs. I treasure those items now from this set. One of the best sets that Pokemon has ever made. So many nice cards to pull..

I bought a booster box of every SWSH set. Evolving skies was the only set I preordered. a case for (and still have) because of the crazy set list before it released. I also have 2 sets of the PC ETB, 2 3 pack hangers, AND 5 of the hanger packs (like the only Unbroken Bonds ones) that have 3 packs. 5 of the Sams bundle ETBs that were $37.99 for a ES ETB and a tin (tin has 2 ES Packs in it) and a couple of single pack blisters.
Whats up guys. You could buy the Pokemon Knockout Collection hanger boxes for $10 (I got mine at Family Dollar) Each Knockout has (1) Evolving Skies booster and (1) Fusion Strike booster. I am not sure if it's worth it or not but I bought 3 of them and now I have 3 Evolving Skies boosters I can put away for a while. Thanks for the video.
I have about 30-50 packs. I sold like 30 sleeved boosters January for 10 a pack to my local card shop. The owner flipped them to a private collector for 14 I belive
And they will be 3.99 plus taxes and shipping depending how much you spend
Man I only have 1 BB (opened a couple b4) 5 PC, 12 reg etb, 1 stadium and various tins and collection boxes that have ES. Also have 1 36 opened bb and currently working on my 2nd. At this point it's all invesment.
that's why you take pictures and video to have proof, i have six cases of typhlosion tins with ES in them i refuse to open until someone buys the 72 packs of ES in them
Evolving Skies is cool but I like the Brilliant Stars forward sets with the Trainer Galleries (and much more favorable pull rates)
I’ve got 36 sleeved packs, 1 bb, 6 etbs and a handful of the double packs with silver tempest and the celebi pin. I had 2 bb but I traded one not too long ago for 5 silver tempest bb. Gonna hang on to 1 of each bb and get rid of the others when they moon lol

the price for the moonbreon has got to go down. the pop of a psa 10 for that card is insanely high. I don’t think it’ll dip 80%+, but I can see a 40%ish correction in play. but that’s also just a random dude’s thought, maybe it goes to 10k, idk. but i’m holding off for now

People over pay on Ebay every day for collectibles. I see video games, sports cards, pokemon cards...you name it, sell for over asking price daily. This is not a new trend. Especially when people looking at historical graphs they see the upwards climb and FOMO sets in. This is not a new phenomenon and certainly not unique to ES. ES is however going to go down as the GOAT of SWSH. Coupled with SNV, for the most part being kind of meh (looking at you Twilight Masquerade), people are going back to what will likely go down as one of the greatest eras ever in Pokemon. Almost a perfect storm of sorts.
Glad I'm already in a good position on ES....as I took advantage of $90 BB prices in Dec 21 :)

Correct. There’s usually 1 secret rare type card in a booster box. MAYBE 2 every once in a while. I’ve also had several English booster boxes with no SR

Not everyone sells dead booster boxes. I sell Quite a bit of sealed booster packs on tcg and none come from booster boxes, none are weighed. I don't see how anyone could do that and have good feedback. I have 9000+ sells in 15 months with 100 fb. I've opened 2 BB in my life and I opened them all..

I believe Sealed will continue to go up, however with singles I think they will drop especially if in the next year or two (before 30th anniversary) we have a recession which could happen if the A.I bubble pops and the stock market crashes. that Combined with a housing market crash could be a domino effect to send many Americans struggling to pay rent, buy food etc etc and pokemon cards would be the first thing people liquidate in a time of crisis.
if that doesn't happen, well see you guys on the moon!

To say it is a memory we will never forget is an understatement. My pulls were the RayRay (BGS 9.5 but with 2 10’s/a 9.5/9.5 subs)

Similarly have 3 boxes and 72 sleeved boosters. I was also lucky enough to be driving across the country when those C22 tins came out and stopped into some Walmarts in the middle of absolutely nowhere and found 28 tins throughout like 7 different stores. I intentionally found the most middle-of-nowhere stores and only went to those haha. I may open them eventually or keep em for later to sell.
ES is only going up, just like Team Up. We'll see boxes for $3k in a year or two.

I honestly am at the point to just admit that the Moonbreon is simply a top 5 Pokemon card of all time. I don’t even think there’s Gold Stars with this level of clout, hype, love, lore and mythos around them. At this point it’s become like a designer clothing brand, forever expensive simply based on name brand alone
i think this will pass team up soon. i see evolving skies being 2k by next year this time. luckily i have a sealed case and 3 lose boxes and i purchased at 140 each. should have gotten more but oh well

Hello! Can anyone tell me why the price of Evolving Skies has skyrocketed compared to the other sets? What happened in the few months in which the price of the sheets and the Booster box suddenly increased?
It’s been slowly rising. But with scarlet and violet being out and not too popular, people started making moves on evolving skies alt arts and then more and more people followed
i got the leafeon VMAX alt, gained $100 the last week😳

5 booster boxes (all first drop), 155 sleeved, 8 Umbreon triple blisters and 30 Checklane blisters ( many have swirl promos as I looked for those rather than just buying all of them.) A grocery store near me had an opening and had about 200 - 300 sleeved at $5…..I thought they had dropped again and passed on them but was just stored inventory for the opening. Went back next day and they were all gone….one of my biggest missed opportunities.
Great video man! I didn't know there was such a thing as 'dead booster boxes'. I was hoping all 36 packs inside would be completely randomized and not limited to a certain amount of "chase" cards per box (ie. capable of having two moonbreons, unlikely as it may be)
yep, booster boxes are typically seeded, with a few outliers, theres usually one good hit per box
I traded in 2 PS4 slims right at the end of the console shortage of the pandemic to buy evolving skies blisters. I had about 75 packs for trade in. I opened them. That was 2 years ago, I could have already quintupled what I paid for. And shockingly made a deal from a GameStop trade in. But all I have to show for it is a ton of non holo drampas LOL!!!! actually we did get a Umbreon v alt and Sylveon v alt. I call it a win still.
Remember what happened with hidden fates and shining fates shiny charizards? For a while they were 800-1200 dollars raw over the years, getting them raw now has decreased by a chunk. This will also happen to the umbreon once a better set and card comes out. Yea they're hard to pull but theres so many of them out there. If people stop buying at these expensive prices it will go down some.
I’m waiting til all the TH-camrs run out of all their evolving skies packs so in 20 years I can sell my packs to them for 100each and on top of that they have to give me at ‘hits’ because they would make money from the content of opening evo skies.
Don’t open them! I’ve got 50 packs that stare at me on a regular basis just taunting me. But when my local card shops are charging $15-$30 a pack just doesn’t make sense to open.
I'm having fun opening knockout boxes with evo skies from a certain store at $10 bucks for evo and fusion I can't complain 😅 sets are brutal tho but fun lol 😂

I only have one sealed ETB, but I also got the Moonbreon (not graded, unfortunately it's probably be a PSA9 due to the front centering being extremely slightly right-heavy)

my theory is - the 100 packs I bought were from a case where someone opened up the case of sleeves until they got a big hit.

I know you began the video by joking about all the content coverage on Evolving Skies but that honestly helped me. I'm new to the hobby and only started buying/collecting/storing pokemon since January of this year. I had no idea about Evolving Skies but I was able to watch some helpful videos and I bought a Moonbreon PSA 10 and one booster box well under market value back in March. I have two items from Evolving Skies but they sure look pretty on the shelf!

Good move. Similar to me, in summer 2022 when I started collecting I loved the tag teams from sun and moon so I bought a ton of alt art tag teams and then they blew up the following year. I also bought booster boxes of ES as well for $250, and later SWSH booster boxes for sub $100, much like current SV boxes. Pulled the moonbreon after 18 months of steady ripping.

I have just over 50 loose packs I’ve taken from tins and pokeballs. I have this outlier pack that weighs 23.87g which seems wwwaaayyyyy out of spec for weight 😳 and it’s KILLING ME to see if there is a double hit in there.
Could just be a heavier code card. Modern wasn’t weighable until fusion strike
@@DrApplesauceTwo yeah that’s what I’m thinking too or maybe mess up and two code cards. I will say I have old print and new print. New print from tins and old print from pokeballs. I opened 4 of each and got 4 hits v or better from old print and nothing from new print 😳

Luckily I did the high IQ play of buying empty booster boxes, filling them up with resealed GI joe cards, then selling them for 500$ a box friends and family to europe

I never collect sealed product but saw how crazy evolving skies was getting near the end of its print and found a single ETB at Walmart. I hid and thought about it for a few days and bought it just to keep sealed. Other than that I managed to pull the Moonbreon so that’s all I’ve got.

The market is going to correct so hard for Evolving Skies in the fall/winter this year. It's eating up so much of its future value recently
People will be shocked to see how many supply of this set will be available in 10 - 20 years when it's time for those "investors" to take profit. Price will crash and never recover.
The supply has only moved to people's closet from store shelves.

It doesn't matter. Even if 90 % of the existing supply gets opened, the remaining 10% is way more than enough to crash the price.
