At the end of this month I will have read the entire Bible in a year 9 times and starting January 1, I will start 10 times. I wanted to read a book I could sink my teeth into and the Bible was it. It has fed me everyday these past nine years and I will continue to be fed for the rest of my life. Oh how wonderful God is and through His son Jesus I have become so close to Him and never want to stop this love relationship. I am in love. Praise be the Lord Christ Jesus ❤Blessed be God forever 🙏🏼

Okay, do it, dear. Don't worry. Get closer to the Lord and don't turn your face to the ground. Declare repentance from your heart so that God may get closer to you, as He says.
“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” (James 4:8)
So I say to you, my dear brother, declare your repentance and do not worry. I was like you, but when you declare your repentance and surrender your life to God, I promise you that you will not want anything else.

@@artifacthunter1472 How do you become born again? Let me guess, you would quote the bible to tell me how, right? Theres things you cant just "know" without the scriptures. People like you are hypocrites, who read the bible, and tell everyone else, you just have to be born again....hmm wonder where you got that idea from.... Probably multiple places in scripture. You say the bible doesnt give you ANY wisdom yet the Bible LITERALLY SAYS IT DOES.
2 Tim 3:15-17 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
"the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith" hmm interesting, looks like the scriptures are somewhat ncessary to be wise unto salvation. Clearly without them you'd end up a roman pagan.
Or how about "the beginning of wisdom is fear of the lord", hmm where does that come from? I'm guessing you know because you read it and then get on youtube and tell everyone they just have to be born again.
People are out there summoning Jesus Christ into crackers and shoving them in gold sun statues because they dont know the scriptures. Never, ever, tell anybody the bible doesnt give you ANY wisdom, extremely satanic comment.

2024 is my first year trying to read the entire Bible. I have just 2 weeks to go thanks to The Bible Recap. I highly recommend it for new readers because you read things in context in chronological order and then get a summary (a. k. a. recap) with extra information every single day. The chronological plan means, for example, you read David’s psalms during his trials and tribulations in 1st and 2nd Samuel and you read Paul’s letters to Galatians and other early Christians during his travels in Acts. While reading, it’s like watching a movie unfold so you get the full story of redemption and understanding God’s nature. My church is going to start a second round of reading in January. I’m excited to read the Word again with this group!

This is an astonishing achievement. I just wanted to encourage anyone who needs it though, I read the bible in full last year and can relate to how he described a "thirst for the word". I don't know if anyone else also does this but I pray before I read to ask God to guide my steps.
On December 31st, He gave me my verse of the year and also asked me to dedicate a year to studying just one book (Book of Isaiah) and also dedicate my prayers to Israel. I won't be making it to 1000 reading the bible this way but that's not a bad thing either 🌹

The word helps a lot. It's like the Spirit lives in you a little when you have those bible verses fresh in you. I find reading more than listening, but perhaps that's just me. Days where I forget to read or have little time and just don't do it, I listen to some audio bible while falling to sleep. Some short ones that give you a good bit of bible before bed are James, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, 1 John, 2 John. They are short and you get the message without falling asleep in the middle. A lot of times I'l try revelation and it's hard to get the point of that book while falling asleep but it still helps. Very good teachings in Matthew around 5-8. It's just one great Jesus teaching after another

Aman. When I heard Pastor Billy Graham say that the Bible is food to our soul. Just like when we need food to nourish our body same thing with the Lord's word. The word of God is living an act of sharper than any double-edged sword piercing to the body and bone marrow and discerning the intentions of a human's heart ❤️. PS John 3:16....✍️✝️🇺🇸👈❤️ Please pray for me that the Lord will keep me strong in the faith and to give me strength through my past mistakes. But also that the Lord will rest His Holy Spirit upon my family members. I came to the Lord 7 years ago when I got sick with late-stage chronic lyme disease and even though I'm still suffering today. I can see how the Lord is working in my suffering changing me shaping me into christlikeness he's doing a good work within his children Philippians 1:6).

Just some advice to beginners, Your first few times take your time to soak in every word and reflect on it even re-reading verses or chapters immediately to if it strikes you as profound or particularly meaningful to you. I find that if I’m trying to speed read through something I can gloss over and not register everything.

Amazing! Yes, renewing our mind with the rightly divided Word of God is an amazing way to grow in the knowledge of His Grace and Love.
As long as we are reading His word through the lens of Grace, of the Gospel, we are renewing ourselves correctly. Otherwise, we might be increasing our knowledge in the incorrect manner, bringing ourselves into religious bondage, under the letter. This is very possible. (Look at the Scribes and Pharisees!). So you could read the Bible a thousand times, but remain in bondage under the letter. Paul done this, until he encounted the risen Christ. I read my bible like this for decades, until I returned to Grace, understanding that it is all in Christ, not in anything I do. Now, I read His word with joy and peace, through the lens of the Gospel of His Grace and Love.
Blessings and kindest regards David from Australia.
