It started out a bit like Tron:Legacy-style music, but quickly became this choral version of the recurring main theme in AH. I'm gonna search for it again right now, actually, but I think it's been deleted off here.
As much as I hated how certain jets would not explode until after some little cutscene, this game definitely packed something that most games do not have anymore.....Tension, a sense of urgency. That's what makes a game great and I am happy I asked for it.

Kamikaze attack. Basically they knew they would probably be shot down so they sacrificed themselves to take the ship too. Used a lot by Japan towards the end of WW2.
@SilentEagles You can, but not in Single Player. I THINK you can unlock the Trinity as a Anti ground weapon in MP if you get 8 Consectuive kills without dying. You unlock the PAK-FA when you beat the campaign.
@LOCKHEAD108 I believe it's the F-22, but only because of the raw engine power and thrust vectoring. Also, in the end, I think that F-22 wasn't feeling so hot...
@LOCKHEAD108 In the game, I heard the Pak-Fa tops the Raptor in almost everything. Realistically, the Pak-Fa wouldn't even be a fight. The F-22 is the undisputed champion for any dogfight ( so far).

IF dogfighting worked like that in real life...and IF a situation like this were even possible in real life...this would be the most epic duel in history, bar NONE.

Looks like the script mode turns on and off; every time after Markov brings you to the end of some script rails, the DFM will become non-scripted again and you have to hit him enough before advancing to another script, and the whole thing repeats until he decides to hit the White House. Just my 2 cents though. Still, it may have been better if the only script is when he's losing his plane at the last moment.

@CampinCarl354 I don't think you can save the battleship, however you can save Sova 1 if you are quick enough. I'd suggest using a plane with either the 4 or 6 long range missiles. There is an achievement/trophy in it if you manage to save it.
Actually, another thought just hit me. Perhaps it was from Ace Combat Assault Horizon Legacy. I'm going to download that OST right now, haha. I have to find this piece of music again!
Is it really impossible to save the USS Anzio? I keep thinking that you can save the damn thing and I try so hard even with the CFA-44. I got a cutscene when I killed a Flanker where it blew up right before crashing into the ship, don't know if it's specific to Xbox, but the last one always crashes.

It wasn't fan made, it was from a conference, but it wasn't in the final product. I'm thinking they replaced it at the last minute, which was a weird track-record with this game, as it axed 2/3 of the story to finish development quicker.
You just have to follow the games script.. Just finished it.. Every time Markov gets behind you start your airbrakes and swerve in a single direction. As the arrows overlap start swerving the plane to get the arrows overlap properly so you can outmaneuver him.. Tried it several times and this works just great. Just remember to speed up just as he passes you so you don't stall as you're braking. And you can try dodging the missiles but I've failed this technique too many times

Yup....probably the worst type of attack you have to deal with. It's like "ok how do we stop them?" Shoot them down, right? No....once they realize they are done, life matters not.
Markov is so OP. It takes like 3 missiles to kill you and markov's plane is somehow just a missile/bullet SPONGE. And he flies so fucking irritatingly in stupid constant high-G turns, which means the DFM always ends up as him locking onto you with his inta-kill missiles.
also dont follow him too too close but not far away that it breaks dogfight mode, and if he gets behind you get going real fast in a bank then slow down and move toward the arrow to flip behind him, and dont be afraid to use the flares. Oh and it took me fifty minuts of replays to finaly beat Markove on ace, and all the lousy game gives me for a grade one the highest difficulty no less is a rotten C with 1400 points, its a slap in the face I tell you but it is possible to beat manga12
man i remeber destroing the stonehange excalibour i remanber "yo buddy still alive" the belkan war i tink tey never make more powerful weapon to beat that but i am wrong that thing is huge
welcome, although I have done it on ace a few times it is still tough, and markove is a filthy cheat I have to add, he flips behind you more then the said six times on one walkthough that helped me beat this on ace, also if he puts out the multi always hitting quick missles, it is good to break dogfight mode and then reenter very quick it will break the lock they have on you or flip behind the bastard, or if you have time, jack the throttle and bank full speed and outrun them till they go away.
u know if people did these manuevers in real lif e they either black out and get shot down, black out and crash or rip the plane apart because of the extreme g forces
I just finished this game and i gotta say that i love it, but it just doesnt compare to the others, the fact that most of the flying in this game is scripted, especially in the boss fights, kinda brought it down a few pegs, but its still a good game, the destruction is amazing at the maneuverability with the jets is freakishly unrealistic haha but i did have allot playing with it
Actually, I think the music is the best part of the fight. In my opinion, it's the best Ace Combat song (for its scripted scene/level)--the mood it sets is just too good.
this game builds nothing but pure frustration, every time I try to use counter dfm, it's like the game play coin toss, and 99% of the time it says fuck you and your counter dfm, then I get killed
If you decelerate in a straight line, its a guaranteed Counter DFM maneuver every single time. Its more difficult to get the Counter maneuver when you decelerate and constantly pitch and roll your plane
You have WAY more than 30 minutes. They should have been alert and in place days ago, well before Markov even started to head north. If not, then the COAST GUARD damn well should have, at least, been there in force. As for non-navy stuff, there are military bases right in the area. Even with a couple hours' warning, you could get a lot more than just one SAM site operational. I bet there are multiple SAM sights already in the Capitol as it is.

When I played this game, I shit my pants from 6:00 to 6:23. i've never played a game where i pumped so much adrenaline in such a short amount of time. i nearly have the same effect from watching this.

Akula can even shoots missiles even when you're behind him, which is very frustrating and so unrealistic

i find it funny how this game takes place around the time the PAK-FA T-50 and the F22 Raptor`s planed debuts

PAK-FA does Herbst Maneuver within 2 seconds. That's really mad or near Sulejmani-sm (AC Joint Assault's last enemy pilot).
