    Cool wagtailing. I have a modded 12"(was a14) high flyer, it lives in a samurai hip bucket.
    Mod 1. Dimple the track on the back to limit disk travel.
    2. Attach large head sheet metal screws(self tapping) on the pivots to make adjustments on the tension.
    3. Use an old mop cover to mod a thicker pad, cut it to exactly the plate size, sew on loop Velcro back.
    4. Open the channel more with a large flat driver to accept Ettore blades, etc...

    Good job Fluff. That little pole is called the flex pole. They make a longer one but not too many have it

      Fluff Daddy Sure thing. I saw Willie using a 24 foot Wagtail pole and it looked like it worked great the the tools

      It collapses like about 6 or 8 feet. Something to that nature

    Great wagging video! What is the rubber blade retention on that squeegee. I use flipper types w/ set screw retention, makes for easy blade flip/change.

    My new wag tail sticks. I was wondering if you could sand that little nipple down some to loosen it up?

    How does it leave no streaks whatsoever? I have recently bought a good sorbo squeegee and it still always leaves streaks no matter what I do!

    • @liamleach7161
      @liamleach7161 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, yeah I've tried with the brand new rubber, must be the technique i suppose.

    • @jjrealtalk159
      @jjrealtalk159 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Liam Leach some rubber needs to be worn in , in order to leave no streaks especially hard rubber .
      Hard rubber will last longer
      But with first use it will tend to leave streaks or lines .soft rubber
      I've found is better .

      Thanks this is helpful, I think I'll have to put a lot more effort into figuring out the perfect angle.

    How do you like your Connect? Here in Europe they don't come with automatic gear box, so I went with a VW Caddy ... Is the high flyer your favorit wagtail?

    So for zero detailing do you dog ear the tool like everyone else seems to do cause I find you can accomplish zero detailing with any squeegee just depends on your technique. I'm just curious if the wagtail is worth me getting
    At the moment I use the moerman fliq but its a nightmare at times
    As the rubber doesn't last as long.
    So I might have to change to the wagtail but I dont want to have to butcher the tool by dog earring it
    It's quite expensive here in the UK.

      I did use those sizes in more traditional squeegees, now an 18 Wagtail is the biggest I use.

    • @Vestin732
      @Vestin732 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use 24" solely for plastic acrylic windows that require straight pulls. Most of these panels have to be removed/flipped from the track and screen side of the acrylic done inside of the lanai/house. A large combination squeegee saves your elbow due to not reaching for your mop thus you essentially eliminate a few motions. As any window cleaner knows doing that eliminates wear and tear on your wrist and saves you time.
