Adam Hook | Why the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust Snow Gum Woodlands Tender was so important.

The snow gum woodland and natural temperate grassland ecological communities used to be widespread in the Snowy Monaro area of NSW. Now they are both critically endangered due to widespread clearing for farming.
Senior Landholder Support Officer Adam Hook talks about why our Snow Gum Woodlands and Grasslands Conservation Tender was so important to protect these landscapes which provide habitat for threatened species such as koalas, Glossy Black cockatoos, Dusky Woodswallows, Gang-gang cockatoos and Flame Robins.
The tender established 8 private landholder agreements, protecting just more than 1400 hectares.
