Getting started into and marketing yourself for the workplace is something that (my) school really let me down with. But hard work prevailed.
For the beginning of your career, the best tools are your colleagues and work ethic. What will prepare you more than anything is knowing how to put in a hard days work, not holding anything back.
-(Been working about 5 years in Chicago, USA) Thanks for the videos and teaching this guy Revit.

in my case , the education that gave me the university was very poor in so many aspects that the real life work demands you, because in my own small experience , is so fundamental teach the real things that construction means , in social- economic aspects . and the use of the new softwares is so important to improve your skills that is your right hand tool for your entire life .

You're exactly right. But as mentioned by a few of these architects - a lot of these things you can only really learn on the job. Although, I'm sure there a lot better ways the universities could teach or introduce those aspects to a student.

Thank youuuuuu soooooo much for this video..I enjoyed and learnt sooooo much from it.This is the same conversation I've been having with a few friends for a while now.Just started my architecture internship and realised booom😅😂everything seems soooo different over here.It was like i hope I've not been wasting my time in school for sooo long rn.And the gap was really wide because I'm in a very big firm so seeing and relating a lot of things to the outside world just made me realise that school really can't teach everything

You're so welcome! Congrats on the new internship. Definitely can seem a bit overwhelming but hopefully the realisation that you don't need to know everything as a student can put your mind at ease!

Answer No! need another 2 years as OJT, later assistant architect after passing the exam! In the Philippines, its better to work 1st in medium sized Arch. office for at least 6 yrs before going solo. Best is working overseas specially in Middle East or China for the latest design concept.

What do you think of architecting the meta verse?

Haven't looked into it much. I can imagine it will take a bit more programming knowledge to be able to do so. Cool idea though. Sculpting a virtual world.
