    Are you ready to begin teaching in Dubai? Have you secured your position? How are you preparing for living in Dubai? Let's chat.

      Hi Crystal! I've been following you and Jes'ka's videos and they're so informative. I'm inspired to make the move to Dubai and have applied to different agencies. I'm looking for a literacy/instructional coach position in an American curriculum school. Thank you for posting the framework and reports for review. Hope to see you in Dubai one day! :)

    Hey Crystal,
    I looked at your video on TH-cam concerning school achievement reports. I was able to find my school and boy was I excited to read it and understand weak-outstanding. It appears schools are on a 2 year cycle for evaluations in Abu Dhabi..
    I read the 2017-2018 report. Thanks you for taking the time to make a video explaining how to read school reports. Heck...thank you for telling people to even read it!❤️ I feel so blessed by you!!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you 🙏🏽

    I will be relocating to Abu Dhabi in August. I am excited and nervous. Your video is informative and I plan to dissect my school's report so I can learn more about its culture. The one thing that sticks out to me is phrase people of determination means people with special needs.

      Congratulations on your new position. Yes, we use "people of determination" for people with special needs. In schools, you will also hear SEND Department instead of Special Ed Department as some schools call it in the states. Have you started networking with others coming this fall?

    I have offered a job in UAE , I’m very nervous the leave the uk to a new country . Can you please tell me what challenges are there and also if it’s a good experience. I originally applied to inspector but I don’t have any experience in teaching hence I been given a teaching position.

    • @clearingthechaos7451
      @clearingthechaos7451  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe it can be a good experience but it depends on your expectations. Be prepared to be flexible both inside and outside of the classroom and always willing to learn. If you can find a teacher mentor to help guide you through the process that will be great. Remember that the educational system, like the country, is young so you may be asked to help in developing structure at the school. That can be a challenge as well as the student achievement levels and motivation. I say go in every day and give it your all. Some days, you'll move mountains. Other days, you'll move pebbles. Best wishes.

    Coming (sometime) soon for 2019-20 school year through recruiting agency. Will be placed in a government school I believe (MoE). Is there/what is the KHDA version for government schools? Or is it the same?

    • @clearingthechaos7451
      @clearingthechaos7451  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, MOE oversees government-funded schools like KHDA oversees the private ones. A major difference is that MOE covers all of the emirates while KHDA is in Dubai.

      @@clearingthechaos7451 Gotcha. So once I arrive and receive my assignment/school I should then go on the MoE site for the rating and reviews?

    • @clearingthechaos7451
      @clearingthechaos7451  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@teach14ever73 If available, yes. Government schools have slightly different practices when compared to private ones. *wink*
