As political pressures continue to mount especially in Namisindwa district, Bosco Mabuya the political assistant of Namisindwa county Member of Parliament Apollo Masika also doubling as LCII chairperson of Nabumbo ward at Bukhaweka town council is in critical conditions after being butchered by unknown people.
The incident happened on Thursday last week at Butsawo cell, Nabumbu ward Bukhaweka town council in Namisindwa district.
According to the casualty while speaking with our reporter on the phone today Monday from Kampala in the hospital he did not want to mention names says that on Thursday evening at 8pm he went to Maria Lunyolo his mother’s home.
He says that before reaching at his mother’s home just neighboring his home also, he saw two youths dressed in skirts , armed with pagers and other women attires pretending to be women he identified them as Rogers Wamaluku aged 26 years of age and Godfrey Sikusi aged 36 years of in the plantation of his others .
Mabuya also narrated that when he tried to ask them what is their intention for being in banana plantation of his mother they rather chased him after catching him they cut him in ribs, back and head then after making noise they took off.
Tomas Taswu the area LCI Chairperson says that when he heard an alarm they responded and took him to Nabukhuya nearby police post before taking him to the hospital.
Apollo Masika, the area Member of Parliament representing Namisindwa County described the incident as political, saying his opponents are behind this with the aim of weakening him as they move towards election.
Julie Namara the resident district commissioner of Namisindwa has confirmed the incident saying police is doing its work of investigations.
She says that Bukhaweka town council and Bumbo town council have a serious terrorist group of youths nicknamed as B2C 16 which have been disturbing people in those areas saying as security they are hunting them seriously to be arrested.
Getting a comment from Rogers Taitika the Elgon region police spokesperson on phone by press time when contact was futile after saying he was in the meeting.
