Historically spoken, this is a very significant gesture of peace and reconciliation. Queen Silvia was born and grew up in Heidelberg, which was the starting point of one of the bloodiest and painful conflicts between Protestants and Catholics ever, when the Protestant elector of Palatinate took over the Bohemian crown and provoked the Catholic Holy Roman Emperor in Vienna after 1612.
