more proof that i will do anything to avoid using actual magic.
when the game ends, the hijinks begin. catapult is a good addition to the "sandbox phase" of the game, when you are done with the linear progression.
boat is absolutely dragging ass due to the weight of the catapults on the deck. physics issue. if youve ever done "boat cart" full of metal, you know what this is. the good news is there wasnt any "rubbing" between the catapults and the boat while sailing. when you are on a server, you might not have the same experience, as client/server desycn can cause physics rubbing and spontaneous damage.
i would like to think part of the special purpose of the drakkar would be weight resistance, and ive made that suggestion on the steam forums. it took me literally over an hour to reach the fuling village. i did it for you guys. for science.

Im shocked that mounting the catapults on the boats works as well as it does. I would have guessed that the spikes just damage the boat and dont attach to it at all. Almost seems like the devs planned for this... maybe we'll have to use the catapults at sea for Deep North, or if they end up doing an ocean update?

the spikes dont really attach, but they do stop the catapult from rolling on its wheels. it still moves around a bit, including if you hip-check it.
the problem is the sail speed, which is really low due to the weight interaction.

In my experience, if you don't lock the legs down the boat isn't slowed quite as much, it dragged especially more when they were.
