- Shanghai is a very lively, interesting, saturated and pleasant town. It is one of the best cities that I have visited. In this time lapse video I used the footage from two visits to Shanghai in 2014. The first is Chinese New Year... hi Raskalov on the Shanghai tower) It was a trip to China together with dimid vimeo.com/user1232595, During our ten-day trip to Shanghai we met with our friends from "Union of Timelapse China" vimeo.com/timelapsechina, and also visited several roofs with Vitaliy Raskalov and Vadim Makhorov. During the second visit to Shanghai in the summer I continued to explore the city, and of course the roofs, at the same day with a time lapse photographer from Nanjing warrior_lmd vimeo.com/user36346657! The city is an incredibly huge, and I’m sorry for showing you only its center because I had a little time.. There are delightful road junctions and bridges in Shanghai, you can enjoy them in this video. I do like this gorgeous city and I hope that I will be able to visit it again and again!

So fortunate to say I've been to Shanghai. The only thing better than the amazing scenery is the hospitable Chinese people who are generally so well mannered and courteous. I was at a bar once where I spoke or I should say communicated to a Chinese man via Google translate for an hour! Honestly if you get a chance, I'd recommend visiting the city. So serene yet so busy. Shanghai is truly an experience like no other

I'm from Iceland and went to Shanghai in summer 2012. I have no words to describe this mega city. I spent 12 days and only was able to see some parts of Puxi and go to Shanghai World Finance Center observatory. I wan't to come back, cause this city is on another level! Xie Xie.

haha yeah, I did a lot of sleeping. I was in kung fu school in Jiangsu, and being alone in Shanghai gave me stress so it was hard to do a lot. Haha no Donald Trump stuff here. I Love China. I hope to get to enjoy Shanghai more later :)

Congress fucked this country up. All of Mumbai will never be like shanghai because mumbai had no proper planning. You see places like marine drive and have some hopes but then see dadar station bridge area and it's really depressing.

This is like a fancy city of your dream.
This video holds a very special place in my heart. In 2016 me and my parents were about to move from Brazil to Shanghai and this was the first video I watched about the city. I remember the excitement and nervousness of moving to a completely different country. Fast forward a couple years and it was hands down the best experience I could've ever wished for. Having a large part of my formative years in such a foreign place to me drastically shaped who I am today. Now, studying alone in Europe, looking back at this video brings me extreme joy and nostalgia from my times in China. And wanting or not, to me it all started through this video. Great work!

In my country, Venezuela, in Latin America live many Chinese people (they don't have a very big relatioship with all Venezuelans, the majority are serious, close and shy, but don't make problems in our society so I think they are good). I'm a sixteen teenager and in my school I had a Chinese friend, he was a good friend of mine. He also had two female cousins, and when they arrived there didn't speak Spanish (that's our language here) so they was learning and finally they spoke the language. All they was friendly people
I don't hate or think Chinese are bad people at all, because it looks silly thinking so. Many people here say all you eat animals like dogs or bats, or that you're very serious and mean. But I'm sure you're very friendly and funny

Shanghai is beautiful and stuff but it goes to bed early. Like, I walked down the Bund, near the Pearl Tower and the streets were deserted though it was only 10 p.m.

When my brother arrived in Shanghai he didn't know the language at all, he finally got a taxi, he was trying to explain that he wanted to go to a certain hotel, it took like 10 minutes before the cab driver finally understood, never once lost any patience, and when they arrived to the hotel, my bro didn't know how much money to give the driver, he actually let the driver take the money himself, he kept in mind how much money the cab driver took, and checked the rates online and the guy didn't even charge him a penny over.

My first trip to Shanghai was I'm 2008 for work spent three weeks and in that time I fell in love with the city and it's poeple. It was a sad day when I returned home, because I wasn't ready to leave. On my return I was asked if I would be willing to go back, I jumped at the offer, so for the next three years I spent over 60 percent of my time in Shanghai, I don't regret one minute of it. Everything I see on the news is not the China that I have seen and come to know. And every US holiday, I get cards and well wishes from the friends I made while I was their. And in return I send them well wishes on their holidays. I've been around the world and their no place I would rather be then in Shanghai.
