Research about the company and cruise line (if different) is the key here. You can learn about their products and services, the behaviours and skills required, the company values and mission statements, and the training you will required to do, as there are two distinct types of training, job training and safety training. Then you can see where you fit, and where you’re not sure, then that’s where your questions will come from! Good luck!

The interview was easier than I thought it'd be haha they just chat with us to test our understanding, explain things about the company, salary etc and ask things like "how your past experiences will help on board" and they expect us to know the company, how the role is and stuff like that. I recommend you watch most cruise videos you can, so that you can really understand the routine on board. Hope I helped you, good luck!!
Hi Lucy, Thank you very much for your advice I just want to say this I had my interview to be honest that I did not ask me anything like payment on the cruise or insurance etc.They send email me directly through the agency before When they find my cv fit in position l am interested. So which is make me very happy and regarding payment I did not ask anything about it .They sent very clear what benefits and that me more courage for this work the company. But thx a lot for all videos and you ambition to find time do video there and l can happily say this all watches really appreciate it Axxxxx

@@emmib1388 I didn’t get it first time round but they give me notes. I got the job second time round after acting on the notes they provided. The interviews were not that bad as I thought they would be, they were so nice and easy to talk to. I’m due to start onboard soon after I have done a medical and visa.

that is probably something you would want to research first -- and -- it would probably not be a first interview question because you are showing you are more concerned about yourself and not how hiring you can benefit the company. But if you do have visible tattoos and/or piercings -- you want to get the dress code at some time before accepting the position.

@@clarachalita8893 actually if they do say to you do you have any questions, you could ask about tattoo and piercing polices and they won’t think that your just thinking about yourself because the whole point of them asking if you have any questions is so that you can know what their expectations are, their policy and procedures this shows that you care about their dress code and the way you need to look. I worked for Disney cruise line and I’m going back with them in the summer I asked about tattoos and they responded with as long as it isn’t inappropriate or haven’t got loads, tattoos are allowed. It’s important as some companies don’t allow them. So don’t listen to the first person.
Heres a great tip to help people relax Lifes a learning procedure you will be homeless in life and experience bankruptcy this is the hardships you have to go through to be successful you learn from your mistakes go after your passion and its ok if it takes longer for you to learn than others lifes not a race if you get fired doesnt matter move back to parents home and try again with a laid back boss

Hello I hope you are doing well. I applied for a job opening directly on the Carnival Career website, I got a job offer on 4th of July and they sent me an email with onboarding instructions. I logged in to my Rose Login Portal and submitted my passport details and filled up the general data form along with the uniform details. The mail said that I will be getting a Crew ID number after I submitted those and I still haven't got any Crew ID number or a Joining Date. The medical facility says I need a joining date to further continue with my medical tests. I don't know what to do next. Can you kindly guide me?
Do they still ask what is your greatest strength /weakness, didn't think most interviewers did as its such a rubbish question that can only produce rubbish answers?
I was wait for the final interview with user then suddenly CTI in Bali said that Recruitment on virgin in CTI US they said don't accept ex crew from assian cruise,, that's sound like bit racism 😏

it all depends on the cruise line -- but any second /third language would be helpful ! Passengers travel all over to take cruises.

If you applied for RCCL it may take time,but they will send you a reply anyway, cause mine takes almost 7 months. Have a good luck

practice as much as you can and take a few deep breaths before the interview :-) They already know that it is not your first language :-)
