There are so many awesome things to do in Japan, and we had such a fantastic time last year, we knew we would be back at some point. We managed to make it happen this year somewhat last minute, when I realized we would have the opportunity to attempt to summit Mount Fuji. While Mount Fuji was my main goal for our trip to Japan, we managed to fit in a lot of other exciting things (like a Harry Potter tour in Tokyo and petting capybaras in Yokohama) as well. Below is our itinerary for 8 days in Japan:
Day 1 - Warner Bros Studio Tour - The Making of Harry Potter in Tokyo
Day 2 - Tokyo Disneyland
Day 3 - Tokyo DisneySea
Day 4 - Travel to the Fuji 5 Lakes Area, Explore Fuji-Q Highland, and the Fujiyama Tower
Day 5 - Summit Mount Fuji (in a typhoon)
Day 6 - Attempt to make it to Osaka, make it as far as Yokohama before the Shinkansens are shut down
Day 7 - Yokohama World Porters and Round 1 Arcade
Day 8 - Tokyo Joypolis and 2 animal cafes with ring-tailed lemurs, capybaras, and more
