I work in a shop, and sometimes canned animal food appears destroyed, and there are maggots all over it, and it just smells awful. I don't get a gut feeling, it's just horrible for me, so i wouldn't consider eating them, even if well prepared. I'm very sensitive about food when it comes to smell. But otherwise, we just cut a ram(sheep) like 2 weeks ago, and i had no problem with skinning it, cutting it in pieces, then i skinned the head, boiled it, and now i have it as a trophy, so u can see i'm not so unfamiliar with raw meat, and "disgusting" stuff, but maggots man. I respect you for eating those maggots despite the smell. :) (On my profile pic, u can see me with the freshly cut head :) )
