I just got back from Myrtle Beach a few days ago, and I am browsing youtube videos of it because I miss it already. Growing up in NJ I was a surfer, so I always had a natural love of the ocean, and the beaches here are stunning. There is no surf, but the sunny weather, palm trees, and long beaches are so relaxing. I woke up early one day to watch the sunrise, and the sun looked like a small fire ball peeking it's head over the water, and the light sheds a glow on the water. The place is gorgeous, anyone will love coming to Myrtle Beach.
@@tiffanydavis5091 I read some sources that Myrtle is no longer safe, it even lists on the FBI's list as 3rd most dangerous city in the US now. During my time there I spoke to several locals about this, and they said due to the large volume of tourists, and some of which are very shady characters, a lot of crime does happen. But, they said you have to be in the line of fire to get caught. Meaning, in most of Myrtle it is perfectly safe year round, it is just certain parts at night, especially during memorial and labor day, where crime goes down. Then based on statistics of crime per year / permanent residents, it gets this bad reputation. I still cannot get over how beautiful the place is, on that alone I am thrilled to be going.
My husband and I visited Myrtle Beach about five years ago and then with family members on two other occasions. This summer we stayed in a hotel on the beach and the sun rising is something you have to see, but for me I loved the sound of the waves early in the morning and late at night. Sitting out on the deck and watching others enjoy the beach was also enjoyable. I will be going back next summer after we come off of a cruise in May.
There’s so many fun things to do there we go every summer,but I missed this year cause of a fall here at home ,I was bummin.but I’d say broadway on the 🏝 beach.loved it .theres restaurants shopping,rides for kids,something for everyone😀😀
I have been to Myrtle Beach for 52 years staying at Apache Campground. I love breakfast at House of Blues. The best. The greatest thing about Apache is I am in the middle..... Left to strip or Broadway or right to Barefoot Landing HOB OR Alabama Theater. I love Myrtle Beach.
The giant crab is always the first place we go to eat. We always get the coupon for a discount and go for lunch, cause it's cheaper and eat a lite dinner if anything at all after all that wonderful food. You definitely get your money's worth..
I'm a Florida native working at Ron Jon surf shop. I've been in Florida pretty much my whole life (excluding 3years I was living in Arizona) I kind of want to move on with my life and do something different I know we have a Ron Jon location in Myrtle Beach, and it could be possible for me to transfer. Is Myrtle Beach a pretty big city. Do you think it would be much different from living in Florida? I'm just trying to make an informed decision, and don't want to feel like I'm going in blind.
Brandi Bones The Myrtle Beach MSA has about 500,000 people. It’s not a major city, but not too small either. If you’re looking for a different kind of environment from Florida, but still have good beaches, I’d actually suggest Charleston.

Yeah the fall's a great time to come, if you don't plan to spend any time on the beach. Early September the wind shifts. In the summer, it primarily comes in off the ocean, so you get those cool ocean breezes. However, in September it shifts, and it comes primarily off the land. Unfortunately it also crosses the inland waterway, and brings all these teeny, tiny flies along with it. These small flies appear quite harmless and benign. However they bite like horseflies. And it hurts. So, if you're planning to spend any time on the beach in September, be sure to bring a good fly swatter; so you can swat those little buggers, before they bite you. Note: this message has NOT been approved by anyone in the Myrtle Beach business community. Especially since the whole point of this video was to bring in more visitors, in the fall. That having been said, summer is great! At least it was in the 70's when I was visiting & working there. However, since I haven't been there in 40 years, I can only hope (& pray) that it's still great today.

Others prefer the Fall because of it's affordability, fewer people with summer-like temps. Spring breaks are popular with others. Winter is the coolest and quieter time of year. Each season has something for everyone depending on their preference.

MB is my fave place been more than once. I like the beach the best. I like going into the shirt shops like at the different MB shirts stuff like that
A first timer should definitely eat at The Original Captain Benjamin's and Chuck's Steakhouse. Awesome restaurants.
