Mercedes interior quality is really deteriorating across pretty much all models and it’s infotainment system with the new track pad is just shite. Audi still has the best virtual cockpit but iDrive is definitely the best system. Furthermore the new BMW cabins do look really special. Was going to upgrade my dads 2016 s class to the facelift but the interior quality is disappointing as the facelift does have some cheap plasticky bits whereas the facelift 750i drives better, better interior quality and is actually more comfortable due to its borrowed technology from rolls Royce

I just put a deposit down last week and have one on order, but the local dealer doesn't have all of the ordering information yet, such as base price level, although the options and packages are pricing. At this point, they aren't being told when the GLS63 will go into production, but it looks like the mid summer estimates Mercedes was saying earlier in the year were optimistic. Hopefully they'll be producing soon. Coming out of a 2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo, and I looked at just about everything available for my next vehicle. The magazine reviews, and especially these videos by MilesPerHr, just confirmed my decision - what a tremendous SUV. Can't wait for it to get here.

OK, I understand this is not a car you'd buy, but please don't try to pretend you know how buyers will actually use it. Mine is being built the week of Oct 12-17, 2020. It's replacing my current 2018 GLS63, which replaced my 2015 model. I will absolutely track this thing!! (We occasionally track our tow vehicles at VIR for laughs). I will absolutely be driving this thing in sand, primarily in Cordova, NC where we go for family vacations regularly. I will absolutely be taking this beast on trails, admittedly not as often, when we visit the beautiful Virginia mountains. I'm glad you "get" this SUV, but don't try to pigeon hole it to be exclusively for posers.
The sad part is Mercedes discontinued their V12... and then came out with the GLS. BMW still has their V12 so they could put it into the X7 if they felt the need for it, but that V12 is very conservatively tuned at 600HP on the M760i. I will agree with you the X7 is the better value, and possibly the better "driver's" car as well. While the number of customers lining up for a V12 may be very low making Mercedes abandon it, putting that engine into a ride like this isn't a stupid idea. Look at the supercharged Escalades and Yukon Denalis being built by Callaway.
I saw one on the road the other day. I didn't pay attention until I got to the rear of it, nice bum, I thought it was enormous for a Mercedes. It looked really good to be a big as it was, then it was gone in a few seconds, really quick.

door handle trim need to be chrome if you want keyless entry. Dont inow why, i guess its how the tech works.
