There are a lot of small differences between the DSi and iOS version of the game that I hadn't touched on due to time constraints. Here are some of the ones I've picked up on (that I didn't mention in the video): • iOS version has much slower gameplay than the DSi version to make the touch controls / accelerometer controls more bearable • DSi version doesn't let you win girls, unsurprisingly • The cash attack mode replaces the time attack mode of the Java version • In the DSi version, worlds get unlocked based on your level, while on iOS they are based on your money. • The iOS version is more detailed, however at the expense of frame rate compared to the DSi • DSi version lets you take pictures and post them as billboards within the different countries
Hey ! Glad to see a video talking about Asphalt 4, the iPod version was part of my childhood. Some cool more info about the iPod version: - If you play the game on a Nano 4G or 5G, you can change the controls to use the accelerometer rather than driving using the Clickwheel - If you play the game on an iPod Video, the framerate will be even lower and some visual effects will be disabled (like the radar photo that will become a generic one) - The soundtrack of the iPod version is encoded in high quality .AAC files, so technically much better than the DSi version.
@@oli_gordon Ah, I see what you mean. Well, if you have a homebrewed 3DS you can still boot the ROM (imgur.com/a/8hus5QQ). Otherwise, you can also use MelonDS to launch the ROM too, its one of the top results when you search for the game on Google. I'll also drop the ROM onto my Archive page when the website is no longer read only
